It is also possible to use 1/2 inch tube. It is possible to use both sizes of the hose barb
The resin is some kind of polymer. As a result, it is relatively solid since there is some weight (some) to it. On my "Spa", which is actually a 150 gallon water trough for horses, I have it. As a result, the glass does get distorted. Having a good water pressure and circulating water well is one of its key advantages. As it does the job and looks very good at the same time, I am very satisfied with the product. There is nothing like the sound for creating an ambience that is zen like. In order to reduce splashes, I let the water fall on some artificial greenery, but I'm right there so I don't have to look away. In the case of a pond for koi or for a garden, it is not important. Here are some tips to help you.
I would say it is 10 inches long from head to tail, black with blue fin detailing, not too bright blue.
If you asked me if I used it with half inch tubing, I would say yes

Please see  " Pond spitting couldn't be easier with this little device. The fish is blacker than it is blue, and I like how it looks with the blue highlights. There is no difference between the size listed in the description and the actual size As far as I am concerned, this fish is barely longer than my hand. I am using 1/2-inch tubing, which is standard for ponds and fountains, however, the connection on the fish is not adequate for water circulation. a 1/2 inch to 3/8 inch adaptor lying around from my other fountain set that I used to get it to work. Despite having a tapered connector on the fish itself, I had a hard time fitting 1/2 inch tubing. I will try to use 1/4 inch tubing in the future. It would have been better if the end of the rod tapered a little more towards the fish, so a 1/2 inch would have On the tail, below the water line connector, there is a connection for the water line. The seal did not stay tight enough by its own with my adapter, so I used plumbers putty to make it tight. However, pond spitter issues aside, this device is really neat. Despite its size, the fish is heavy - Due to the fact that it is not light, cheap plastic, it is not going to blow away or slide around. Using an $8 80 GPH pump, I am able to use it with no problem. In fact, I have to turn down the pump so the spray does not go outside of my mouth- The pond is housed in a metal wash tub (the size of a large bathtub). As I sit out on my patio, I love listening to the sound of water falling. When it arrived, the bubble wrap and paper wrapping was securely taped up and there was no damage.
As I purchased this spitter, I crossed my fingers that it would work with my solar power system Pumps that are powered by electricity for ponds. The answer is yes! I'm very happy with the way this looks in my little The Koi spitters are the same shape as those pictured, but they are not exactly the same as those it was modeled after. The color was less blue in mine and more black with blue highlights, but if anything, it is still pretty. My recommendation was to purchase 3/8" tubing and use hot water to ease the tubing onto the nozzle of the spitter. I followed the same reviewer's directions to ease the tubing onto the nozzle of the spitter. You're welcome! Thank you so much.
The first thing I'd like to say is that Amazon sent me FOUR of these koi spatters The shipping error I experienced was only charging me for one item, so if you order and receive four, there was a shipping mistake. It is worth mentioning that previous reviews have noted that the koi's color is darker than expected, which to my eye makes it more appealing. The pipe and clamp lasted only 10 minutes and I had it "spitting" in no time at all. As far as I'm concerned, it's awesome for the edge of my pond and there hasn't been a single clog. You may run into problems if you don't have a way to slow your pump down and you have a small koi pond like mine (150 gallons), as depending on your pump speed, the water may stream over the edge.
To connect it, I initially used 1/2" tubing, but it came undone way too easily, so I switched to As it was hard to get on and off, I heated the end of the tubing in boiling water for a few minutes before sliding it into place. It's the perfect fit for you! The following gives you a sense of just how tough and well-made There is a large landscaped circle leading into our driveway where my pond is located, and one night a lost soul driving a huge truck and pulling a large boat ran right into the circle and over the koi spitter. In spite of being run over and thrown over 15 feet across the road, the koi had just a few scratches in the finish, and the rest of it was intact. There was no damage to the inside, and the circuit still works fine. That it wasn't damaged was good news, because I enjoy watching the deer drink the stream of water that comes out of the stream! The design of this spitter is extremely well made, as opposed to the lightweight products I have found in our local stores.
The water stream is spurted into the reservoir at the top of the fountain by a water stream I made out of a fountain/planter and some pipe components. It is very heavy, has good spitting distance, and has a very fishy taste. This is great, I like The price is high, though. It was also in pretty bad shape in terms of packaging. Despite the box's weight, the ball bounced around in it. The film was lucky not to have been The fish I have has been puking for many years, and I hope it will keep doing so A lot of people like the idea of the planter fountain I came up with. My project only cost thirty dollars, and I had to purchase two galvanized tubs, a few pieces of lumber, water sealer/stain, several planters, and a few hours of woodworking time.
Please see  " Pond spitters like this one are very nice to look at. I like how the paint has a nice contrast of black and blue and feels well built. It is so solid that if it falls into the water, it sinks, unlike my other pond spitter. The hose adapter is placed toward the back and not in You can also force it to spray water multiple feet if you attach a powerful pump to it. In my case, I have it connected without a pump (gravity-fed) and it still works fine.
My only wish would be to reach the seller of this product, since it was shipped in the same box as my pond filter, which weighed over 13 pounds. A plastic bag, however, was all that was wrapped around the fish spitter. There were no visible signs of damage to the fish. Due to the way the fish was shipped, a piece at the end of the fish had to be broken off to connect to the pump tubing. In the end I came up with a plan B when I couldn't find a replacement in town. In the end, plan B was not successful It turns out there are fish on the pier with damage. I went out this morning to find the water level in my 300 gallon pond was down by about 1 1/2 inches. There is a lot of water on the My replacement request has been submitted, and I hope the new one is better than the first. It would be great if this is seen by the seller and he or she.
This is an update to the review Despite my love for this spiter, after two years, it no longer works It was packed away after each of those periods and was not in use during that period Many of the paint finishes are in bad condition and missing. In trying to make a decision about whether to replace it or not with the same item, I'm having an internal conflict. How can I describe this? The look on everyone's face when they see this handsome fella splashing in our water garden is unstoppable. A finish with an aged bronze look is aesthetically pleasing to me in my courtyard because other items have similar finishes.
