Our yard is too far back for electricity, so we used solar energy to power our outdoor lights. I use it in my wine barrel fountain with great results. Through a tube, water flows into a fountain 3 feet high. Whether it is needed or not, it can go higher. I live in south Florida, so my pool is not serviced. About 15 minutes was all it took to install and test this pump and panel. It works perfectly well without a pool pump. I purchased this pump for a water feature I had in my backyard that had a hardwired pump previously. I think it worked very well, running water up a 5 foot rise and into a small pond at a nice It has been exactly 31 days since I bought the system and 20 days since I've been using it. Even in full sunlight, the water is no longer flowing. Having checked the filter, intake, hoses, and electrical connections, everything appears to be working properly, and there is no obstruction. After testing without any plumbing attached, I connected the pump to my computer. Once fully submerged in water, the pump has ceased to produce any suction. Despite having perhaps 5% of the flow it had before, the motor continues to run. Almost a month after I bought it, I still have It was disappointing.
