For my son's first hunting trip, I bought this compass and had a custom message engraved on the back for him. The compass itself is lovely and exactly what I had hoped for. The clasp on the chain, as well as the cover that flips open, broke in a matter of hours. Thankfully, the seller was quick to respond and sent a replacement right away. These aren't meant to be used in the field, but rather as a keepsake to be displayed on a mantel or shelf.

Despite the fact that it is not etched, it is still very attractive. The compass is lovely, and the wording is exactly what I asked for. However, I expected the words to be etched into the metal when I paid for engraving. They aren't etched; they're just painted on. FYI. However, it is a very giftable item with a quick turnaround.

The engraving was flawless, and the compass was significantly larger and heavier than expected. It was simply unexpected, and not a flaw in any way. All- Everything appears to be in order, but the needle pointing in the right direction has come loose from its pin. So I was simply floating around inside the compass. We'll either try to fix it ourselves or look for a watchmaker who can open it for us. The only gripe I have is that.

I had to contact the seller to ask if they could ship it sooner (my fault for ordering too late) so that it would arrive in time for my anniversary, and they responded the same day and accommodated my request. The product is well-made and packaged. The compass itself had a couple of minor scuffs, but nothing major, which I think adds to the overall aged appearance. Excellent product, reasonable price, and excellent customer service!.

This engraved compass was packaged nicely in a gift box. This item is extremely durable. When I first saw this piece, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. In addition, the lettering was excellent. I was hesitant to buy it because one of the reviews stated that it wasn't engraved, but instead had a sticker on the back. My purchase did not follow this pattern. br>br>This was for our 20th wedding anniversary, and my husband is notoriously difficult to buy for. He was ecstatic!.

Today I got my compass. Three days ahead of schedule. The compass appears to be accurate, the inscription is exactly what I ordered, and the compass itself is flawless.
