You could do a lot worse than this if you're looking for a unique gift for your son. It's elegant, cool, and functional. The compass is accurate. br>br> The sundial is securely fastened, and everything comes together to form a stunning work of art; the piece is on the larger side, but this makes it simple to assemble. The north pointer quickly locks in on the direction of north. I have never been able to use a sundial correctly, so I haven't tried it. It's possible that I'll have to practice with my son and learn a new life skill as a result. br>br>The compass is packaged in a lovely wooden box. Instructions for using the sundial can be found on the compass's cover. My only complaint is that the compass lid comes off and is not hinged to the compass, but this is not a flaw that detracts from the overall rating of 5 stars. If you're looking for something cool to do with one of your sons, this might be it. That's how cool it is.

This well-made timepiece comes highly recommended. To me, Made in India entails a well-balanced mix of brass, steel, and wood. The artisans who made this sundial are true masters of their craft, with a beautiful seamless transition from wood to metal. The construction is solid, and the weight is just right. The end result is stunning.
This is a lovely piece for a father to give their son as a graduation or wedding gift, and the pictures do not do it justice. The storage box, too, is lovely. Everything is made of high-quality materials and is exquisitely designed. This piece appears to have the potential to become a family heirloom. Everything appears to be well-made and sturdy. The engraving, as well as the meaning behind it, are both beautiful.
