Although it is large, it is well constructed

This compass is about 3" in diameter, which is a little surprising. However, the one I received is very well made, glass crystal, and heavy. It performs as expected of a magnetic compass, and it has quickly become one of my favorites.

This was a birthday present for my 10-year-old son. He enjoys carrying it around with him and has even experimented with the sun dial. Both the compass and the pouch are well-made and have an antique, rugged appearance.
