If hammered into solid ground, it would be very susceptible to damage. They offered me the option of returning the thinner 4 pack for a partial refund if I did not return the listing on Amazon stating it is a thin version. However, they did not offer me any other resolution, other than to tell me to make the changing on Amazon. My project was completed via Amazon, but I found another product or method to complete it.
We used this for bird feeders, and all kinds of birds came flocking!
