If the hook is sunk to the cross bar, it is 75" from the ground to the low curve. It would be 80 1/4" from the ground to the top of the upper curve if it is
There is no way for it to hold heavy items without bending, swaying greatly, or leaning over and lowering itself. A shepherd's crook's metal round should not be used for stability reasons. Shepherd's crooks made from square metal rods work great, as they won't bend due to their square shape.
My ground grew all the way to the arm and I was able to hold my birdhouse just fine, but I think it would depend on what your ground has in it. I very much like this
That's an awfully heavy bird feeder, to begin with. In spite of the fact that the product is strong, I am unable to say for certain if it can handle a 20 lb. weight. You can feed. If it was supported by the rod and hook, I wouldn't worry about Please let me know where you intend to place it in relation to the ground area. hook is only thin at the bottom and catches the soil with two thin ends. A pole may fall over if the ground is too loose or very loose.

It only took a few good stomps to do them in!.

Even with a squirrel baffle on the feeder, once it was hung from the shepherd's hook, squirrels were able to jump up and knock it over. This version is 92" in size (add the baffle) and works well. In the past, I have seen squirrels stare at the feeder wistfully and leave.

The baffle is at the bottom of the pole under the feeder. It used to be that squirrels would just climb up on the shorter poles I had purchased, and then By using this taller Shepherd's hook and the baffle, the squirrels are "baffled" (ha ha! b) their inability to reach While they are trying to climb the pole, they hit the baffle, and then stop (and you can see their little brain trying to figure out what to do), and go back down. I do not feel sorry for the squirrels since there is still plenty of seed left over from the cardinals and finches.

Purchased in July 2017, this item is still in good condition. Take a look at this photo from just a little over one year ago. As soon as I saw the baffle on the ground, I looked into what had A rusty pole fell to the ground and the baffle fell out. The weather in Florida isn't ideal for this item There is no way to know how this would fare in another Sorry to hear you were.

There is unfortunately no cure for the disease. It gives good results and has a high enough height. It's a real pain because the squirrels jump from my porch six feet away to the feeder because they can't climb up or down. But so far they still haven't figured out how to open Therefore they fly through the air hitting the feeder and knocking seed to.

These hooks are capable of supporting very heavy items. Other reviews showed that it bent when hung with something or a plant. I was a little concerned. This item is very thick and strong if it bends it is either because they are hanging an automobile on it or they are reviewing the wrong item.

Go to any garden center, even the ones at the big brick and mortar stores and you will not find a garden staff of this length, thickness / strength at this price. You won't find There have been two times as much money spent in garden centers as there was at the mall One or more of the following If you go to the garden stores, do they offer color options? The prices here are comparable to the best you'll find for garden staff. an individual who purchases things for myself and my family. There will likely be no need to replace them anytime soon.

There are flocks of cardinals and chickadees here, and we are enjoying them! spikes went into the ground easily, and the pole has held up well through high winds for several days. It's amazing how much we have been enjoying it. I just ordered another one for an additional corner of my yard.
