When the sun shines on this jewel-like ball, it sparkles like blue diamonds and reflects color and objects in a watercolor-like manner. This is my all-time favorite; the end is sealed with glass, and I'd estimate the thickness to be at least 1/4" if not more (just a guess). ) very solid and heavy, the best-made ball I've ever had, you won't be disappointed!
This globe isn't completely clear; it has a silver hue to it.
It didn't come with a stand in my case.

This is a lovely piece of art to display in your home or garden. Inside, it's painted silver, just like some of the most expensive Christmas ornaments. It's because of this that it appears to be three-dimensional. When you look into the crackle glass, you will notice that there are multiple layers of color. Because of the layers, it has a bit of weight to it. It has a bottom seal, which is very important! You don't want any moisture to get inside! The colors are rich and beautiful, and it appears to be three-dimensional. I can tell when something is cheap from a mile away, and this isn't one of them. It is a reasonable price. Colors that are rich and lovely. I adore them so much, Emerald, that I went back for more. br>I went back for thirds! Red. My fourth globe is a teal-colored 10-inch gazing ball. It's stunning! There's no denying that these are works of art, and I've included photos to prove it. The red and green could be used to create a lovely Christmas decoration for indoors. br>In the winter, don't leave these outside! They'll be ruined by rain and snow, as well as freezing and thawing. To keep them, I keep the box they come in. These globes get a lot of positive feedback! br>I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!.
Two years ago, I bought two emerald globes. I was blown away by the color quality and depth, as well as the intricate crackling. I was so excited that I placed two separate orders for the Mandarin color this month (February 2020). Each order was delivered in "second" condition. The first had open cracks that allowed water to pass through. The quality of the second replacement globe I got today is even worse. The other half is completely uncracked: has a lot of big lumps in a straight line Both had medium-sized black spots in a variety of locations around the world. These aren't even close to the quality of the ones I got two years ago. Is it possible to have Quality Control? Amazon is attempting to rectify the situation, but prospective buyers should exercise caution.
The crackled areas are lovely, but there are a few "bald" areas that aren't crackled and look unattractive in this setting - One of them is smack dab in the middle of the world's surface. Despite the fact that it was well packaged and appears to be as sturdy as a gazing globe can be, I dislike the prominent spots, do not believe it is worth the purchase price, would not buy it again, and would not recommend it. I'm also unconcerned about whether or not these spots are "normal" - They're not good enough. I had two of these a few years ago that didn't have the bald spots.

This gazing ball appeals to me on a whole. It's not large, but it's exactly what I needed. The only disadvantage is the length of the stem; it does not fit in the stand, so I had to make the stem stick out. It has a rubber stopper to keep it safe. Teal is a lovely green/blue color. The glass itself has a thick/sturdy feel to it. It has a crackle effect rather than being smooth, so it is more decorative than a gazing ball.
I'd recommend putting these on a sturdy stand to keep them from easily tipping over, which is why ours broke when it hit the cement sidewalk. These globes are made of high-quality glass that will last a long time. The light green is a stunning color that serves as a focal point in the landscape, and the brilliance is amazing whether it's sunny or cloudy. To avoid breakage during shipment, the packaging was more than adequate.
The globe is beautiful; it's 12" in diameter and fits perfectly in the space. Our order was for green, but it arrived in blue. We kept the blue because it's lovely. It's substantial, regardless of color, and it fits in our space perfectly. We've had globes in the past that were delicate and easily broken. This one has a much stronger feel to it, and we expect it to last a long time.
