Questions & Answers

Are they rectangular?

The image measures 5" in height x 20 in width. The dimensions of this item are 25" long by 14" wide

Do you think this can be attached ?

Upon purchasing a large unit, you will receive two separate securing posts that will push through the pre-drilled holes In addition to holes in the rock, there were holes in

You should also. My understanding is that sandstone is more reddish in color? What's the color of this? It looks white almost. If it was so light, I think it would look really odd, wouldn't it? Do you agree? Are you sure?

There is a gray color to this and it looks like a This is a very satisfactory result for me. I like the way it looks very authentic in the garden area and very well protects my well head. In measurements, it measures about 23 inches wide, 18 inches high and approximately 14 inches long. It has stayed in the ground with no problems thanks to the stakes included.

In cold weather, is the plumbing insulated to prevent the pipes from freezing?

Despite the fact that it isn't insulated, I didn't have any problems with my pipes this winter. I find it to be very useful! Winter was very cold where I live in Michigan. Low temperatures are not an issue. It is a stone I would recommend to everyone!

Five days ago, I received the item As a result of the height difference I received the item on May 5 In order to accommodate that difference in height, I will need to develop a way to adjust it
3/5

The Amazon listing for Model #2185 is as follows The following are the available sizes Heidegger 25, in. The dimensions are 5 x 17 inches. A rectangle of 5 by 20 inches. It appears to be 5 but it is really It is 17 degrees in the shade The overall dimensions are 5 x 18 inches. The size of the plate is 0 x There is a difference of 8 inches in height! I would suggest that the measurement listed at Amazon be corrected. If your suggestion is good, I will Google to find a way to make the height difference since the item is huge, and I don't want to hassle with returning it. There are (4) irrigation valves underneath the Landscape Rock that I don't want to rest on top of.

The Emsco extra large fake rock is made of plastic
3/5

For your information They charge a $10. 00 restocking fee, in addition to the return shipping cost. (This is not mentioned anywhere in the description)

It isn't very natural looking so I guess you could stain it, as another user suggested. Those flimsy metal stakes come with no holes in the 'rock,' so you'll have to add them to the sides, I guess, since no holes are drilled into the 'rock'. My plan isn't going to work, but I am stuck with it, as it's not worth returning, so I guess I'll have to find another solution. don't see these items in my local stores, so I had to order online. Usually Amazon has reliable return policies, but not this one and it didn't explain why I couldn't return it. Had it been clear, I wouldn't Here's the latest I finally found a place to put it where it looks great and where the wind won't blow it away due to the costs of returning the rock. No matter how they place the stakes into the rock, they would be useless even if the openings in the rock were there as they state in the description. In order to do this, I dug up the area and then placed the dirt in the center of where the rock is positioned. In that way, it is a bit into the ground, with dirt in the middle. In time, the dirt should spread out and fill up the inside, while holding it firmly It's hard to predict how it's going to settle in, so I placed a small boulder on top to keep it from blowing away.

The size is nice, the price is good, but the quality needs to be improved
4/5

The day I received this rock, I was ridiculously excited. I'd been wanting a large landscape rock since last fall, but my husband was reluctant to get one because 1) he didn't want to pay to have it delivered - I mean it! He could not lift the dang thing himself, 2) instead he waited for someone to help. 1) I stepped up There was a great deal of value in this one (the large is HUGE). Unfortunately, the granite was not as natural as it might have appeared. No true rock is just one color, people. No rock in nature is a uniform color. Since I am a crazy, crafty type of person, I pulled out three colors of stain and began sponging them on. found that it was quick to get the real version of it and it really only took me a short time to achieve. In its original state, it looked like a slab of gray fake rock, but now, (if I may say so myself) it looks like something that got delivered by The rock you're looking for is this one if you don't mind spending an hour on it (great prices for bigger rocks in this size). As an additional note, it did not come with any holes or places for drilling holes so that the spikes could be used, even though it came with spikes and was meant to support the ground. It was simply a matter of digging a small trench and "burying" the edges of the rock with the dirt, then covering them up again with I don't see how it can blow.

This is a very realistic fake rock
4/5

There is a lot of lifelike detail in this There are multiple tones (sandstone) and black speckles in the plastic, just like real Granite. It is thick and durable, but it also cuts easily with a sharp pair of A metal stake is included with the rock, so that it can be secured to the ground. Almost missed the stakes taped to the inside of the rock's top because they were taped inside the The course also includes two pre-credit courses In order to secure the stakes to the rock, drill two holes one inch from the bottom at an angle in the base. It is important to take the measurements with a grain of salt, as they are based on the size of the rock's base. Its shape and dimensions vary from bottom to top due to its tapered shape and irregular shape. Other reviewers have said the stickers left residue on the rock, but I didn't have any problems with that. It seems as though the stickers almost fell off on their own. A couple of larger Orbit valve cover rocks I bought previously resembled painted paper mache compared to the Emsco Group rocks that I purchased previously. It looks like the rocks of the Emsco Group are much more realistic. Considering they are a hollow piece of plastic, these rocks are a bit overpriced (which is why 4 stars instead of 5). Nevertheless, they look realistic and serve the purpose they were intended for, which is to cover No need to look any further if you are trying to find realistic looking faux rocks.

The fake rock has a nice appearance and can be customized easily
5/5

This was just delivered a few days ago to cover some pipe that was part of an irrigation system. This is perfect. I used a hacksaw to make two long cuts and a box cutter to score the piece from the rest. We spent about ten minutes on it. I suspect it could have been used over everything without cutting if it had been bigger. Getting bonus points for being able to blend in when you're at home! As we just received the product, we cannot comment on its durability yet. put it on when we turn on the water and take it off when we turn it off. I found that to be very simple. As I could not figure out how it was supposed to be secured in the ground by the metal pieces, I decided not to do that since we need to be able to remove it to turn on and off the water.

There are some problems with it
3/5

"Hollow" is the best description for these It is distinguished from a bottom by the absence of such a feature. It is frustrating that they don't provide a bottom for the rocks so that you can fill them up with water (or sand) so they can withstand high winds. In their current form, the anchors are less than 8 inches long. I can just imagine one of the ones I got getting picked up and thrown through my neighborhood, potentially damaging people, cars, or As an additional consideration, mine came with only one hole drilled for feeding the anchor, so if I want to keep it I will need to drill a hole through the plastic, get longer anchors, and bury it several inches so as to lessen the possibility of it becoming airborne. While I agree that the "look" is alright, here's what I disagree with. I think a bottom to this product would be useful (like the bottom of a balloon) so that it can be filled with water or sand. I live in a place where anchors do not cut it.
