Ours has 13 cups, and we love it.
The Monarch Rain Chain is made of pure copper with a natural patina that will develop over time.
It's impossible when it's lightly raining. Because we live in Washington, two is probably the best option. We do, however, receive a lot of compliments, which we appreciate. Copper of excellent quality. When it rains heavily, it does, however, splash. That, we believe, is all part of the fun.

Both the Monarch Pure Copper Tara Rain Chain and the Monarch Pure Copper Eastern Hammered Cup Rain Chain have a repeating large cup followed by a decorative chain, which we absolutely adore. We live in California, and even though we are frequently in drought, when it rains, it is usually a torrential downpour, so large cup styles are ideal for our climate. The large cup's staggered pattern, combined with a beautifully styled chain, allows for a better view of the rain water as it travels down the entire chain, almost like a delightful series of small waterfalls! I did some research on rain chain companies, and Monarch rain chains have a great reputation; after receiving, hanging, and using them, we agree that they are heavy gauge and built to last. I would recommend any Monarch rain chain, but especially the two styles that we bought.
This is a fantastic alternative to a downspout. I purchased two and received numerous compliments from my neighbors. Because it didn't come with stakes, you'll need to purchase something to secure it. I also need to create a Little Rock drainage area, as a lot of water flows down those and is flooding my flower bed.
I looked for a rain chain for two years before I found one. This one is my favorite because it has a decorative chain design between the cups, and as you can see in the photo, even when it's pouring outside, the rain runs smoothly through the system. The only criticism I have is that It would have been better if it had been longer. I still need to work on the base rock system, but I'm excited to add some lovely rocks that will turn color when wet. It looks fantastic, sounds fantastic, and was simple to set up. We did purchase the gutter adapter, which we would recommend because it aids in system stability. I'm overjoyed that the unsightly gutter is no longer attached to the brick wall! If you enjoy an organic garden of metal, plants, and stones, this is a must-see!.
This rain chain has a nice appearance and works well. br>It was relatively simple to set up, and it can handle a significant amount of water. (*This video was shot while it was still raining, but the rain had stopped. ) poured a few moments ago, and the water was cascading down the chain like a waterfall! br>br>We decided to place a waterproof barrier beneath some limestone and then pitch the 15" copper bowl so it runs out (as shown). br>br>At the bottom, we placed a 15" copper bowl: new br>.
, I suppose, because it'll weather with time), but the one thing that bothered me the most was the HORRIBLE odor of feces when I first opened the box. Our cat had pooped under the table, according to my husband! I hurriedly unpacked the entire box outside, tossing all of the packing in the trash, only to discover that the stench was still clinging to the chain! It wasn't even a metallic copper odor - I've worked on enough plumbing over the years to be familiar with every type of old, moldy copper odor imaginable - This had a strong odor of feces. Rather than dealing with the hassle of returns, I'll just hold my breath and hang it up, hoping that nature will (hopefully) wash the stench away. However, I'd be horrified if I had given this as a gift and they had to deal with such filth, and I expected more from what I believe was a fairly expensive item. I've also washed my hands several times today, fearful that my lovely rain chain would come with a free case of hepatitis or some other nasty poo-borne disease. a disease that is connected to it So - The letter o stands for chain. But it's not "wow"-worthy, and the free mystery stink isn't welcome.
Every one of them was met by this rain chain. It took less than ten minutes to open and set up. I wanted a rain chain to be more of a relaxing feature than a practical one, but this one does both! I simply placed a large planter beneath it, filled it with river rocks, and planted a few hostas near the base. I'm very pleased with the outcome. Though it's difficult to tell in the photos, it's raining, and the peaceful sound it makes adds to how lovely it is! If you're not sure whether the price is justified. it is!.
It is a huge hit with him. He found a place on our gutters where the downspout could be removed right away. He drilled a hole in the fascia board and fastened the silver chain to it, allowing the rain chain to hang directly over the gutter hole. Then we used the hose to spray water on the roof to see how it worked, and it came out looking fantastic! It's entertaining to watch the water pour through the copper cups; the hammered copper, by the way, is quite lovely, and I believe it will become even more so as it ages. This rain chain is of excellent quality, and I anticipate it lasting for decades! Don't be hesitant to get one for yourself or as a gift!.
Both the Eastern Hammered Cup and the Western Hammered Cup were purchased by me. Lovely – It also helps us to solve a problem. We just finished constructing a veranda and porch with traditional white pillars, but we didn't want to attach a rain gutter to one of them. A rain chain proved to be the ideal solution. I bought both the Eastern Hammered Cup and the Lotus Cup Rain Chains to compare them (see photo). Although the Lotus Cup is lovely, we thought the Eastern Cup fit better with our traditional style 2-. home with a story I wish I could share the video I shot with you. The Eastern Rain Chain's links create a more splashy effect by allowing the water to flow in an artistic manner. It appeals to me.
