That is not the case. They're starting to fade, but I just repainted them.
A bracket is included, but it isn't very sturdy. I hung it from the gutter by putting a bolt across the opening.
Rain chains have the advantage of not clogging as easily as normal, enclosed downspouts, and if they do clog, they are very simple to unclog - it only takes a few minutes. Unlike a downspout that must be dismantled - In addition, it's difficult to tell if a downspout is clogged when it's enclosed. Rain chains are also more appealing to the eye and ear, and they are entertaining to watch and listen to. Overspray will occur, primarily in a 1-foot radius. A 2 foot radius is required. This is one of the better chains, with a large bottom diameter that can handle a lot more water and does not clog easily. It also has a lot of cups, which means there's less overspray.
No, I had to purchase two.

(It was less expensive than purchasing two rain chains and adjusting them) I couldn't find a place where I could buy a few links at once). My wife has a home office, which I was able to put in a convenient location for her to see - When it starts to rain - Put white rock in the catch pan (for contrast) from her office. The collected water overflows into the plant areas around it. Around the pan, I'll eventually lay down black river rock. br>I've recently moved into this house and plan to paint it soon. When that time comes, I'll be sure to update my photos.
Several rain chains have passed through my hands. The issue is that it receives a lot of water from my roof where I have it. As a result, I needed a rain chain with a lot of movement. Sure, a standard gutter would be the best option, but it would be unsightly and obscure my custom cedar columns that I built for my porch (plus, my wife despises the look of the gutter there). The rain chain makes everything look cool, and it looks and sounds amazing when water is flowing down it. Other rain chains we tried produced a lot of overflow splatter, and our porch was covered in water splatter. Without some sort of rain chain, I don't think it's possible, but this one produces very little splatter. For me, this is the goal. For the time being, I'm not going to buy from a rainchain website where the prices make you think they're made of pure copper or silver based on the prices. This is something I'll be able to use.
After conducting extensive research on the style and size, which is critical when living in the Pacific Northwest, I finally installed it, albeit in the rain, but it was well worth the effort. I ended up using about 12 feet of rain chain (I had to buy two). So far, we've had several rainstorms, as well as snow and hail, and the weather has held up admirably. I filled the pot with a heavy flower pot, a ground anchor, and some large pea gravel, and it works great at keeping the gutters clear of water and debris. Size and style do matter when it comes to controlling water flow and tree debris, so keep that in mind when choosing the right product for your needs. I contacted customer service, who promptly returned my call and corrected the size error that had been noted on Amazon. I'd buy this product again in a heartbeat!.
This rain chain is absolutely incredible. There isn't any other way to put it. It turned out to be an excellent investment. Water is able to pass through the cups rather than run over the sides because they are larger and more frequent. Outside the front window, it's so cool. It includes a triangle piece to secure the chain inside the gutter. br>br> Unfortunately, with the gutter connector right above it, it was difficult to manipulate. As a result, I also purchased the gutter adapter to aid in the chain's security. It was somewhere around $8, I believe. I had to shave it down to the proper size before gluing it in place. Aside from that, it improves the overall performance of the system. Other rain chains have fewer and smaller cups. br>br> between them, with larger gaps (multiple chain links). Water was seen running outside the vessels in videos of the smaller ones. With these, that is not the case!.
Love it! This has to be one of the more enjoyable purchases I've made in the last few months. Cutting a hole in the gutter and sealing the adapter in place proved to be the most difficult part. After repairing my gutter after it was ripped loose during a spring snowstorm, I decided that the 60' between the downspouts at each end was just too much. A standard downspout, on the other hand, would be too unsightly in the location where I needed one. So I went with a rain chain, which turned out to be a fantastic choice! It spills into a rock-filled faux walnut bucket. I drilled a hole in the side of the bucket and attached a down spout to direct the water into the yard, which sounds and looks great! Updated on August 5, 2021. We've had a couple of real gully-busting storms since I first wrote this review. Storms of washing machine rain. Although most of the water is contained within the rain chain, there is some splattering when it rains heavily, it is still one of the most satisfying purchases I've recently made.
It made it through the Texas ice storm, frozen solid and encased in several inches of ice, as well as being knocked down by our gutter installer and then knocked down again by tree trimmers who barely avoided a large branch hitting our window. All of this only caused damage to the chain's bottom unit. We were forced to use a temporary solution after losing the top hanger in the tree incident. In order to improve the appearance, we also use a gutter connector. This rain chain is absolutely gorgeous!.
I'm going to get a second one. Based on our rainy Washington weather, volume of rain, and other reviews, I chose this chain after doing a lot of research and looking at a "zillion" different rainchains. I was concerned about heavy downpours because we had vinyl gutters, so instead of using the provided hanging hook, which hangs on the gutter itself for support, I placed a single 3. The rainchain triangle bracket was hung using a 5 inch torque screw that was partially inserted into the facia inside the gutter valley. A ceramic pot was also used to serve as an anchor and collect water. I drilled some holes in the pot's bottom, dug a hole, filled it with about 6 inches of rock to set it on, and then added more rocks to the pot's surface. To anchor the chain, there are some rocks inside the pot as well. Water continues to flow into the pot after 8 hours of rain and has yet to overflow out the pot due to the porous nature of our ground==we live in the forest. Customer is overjoyed.
They are absolutely fantastic. We have four of them, and they add a lot of character to the home. For large amounts of water, this method works well.
