The user cannot adjust the photocell. But there is one thing to be clear about. This isn't a light that should turn on and off in response to the presence of sunlight. It's designed to work in tandem with the motion detector. The motion detector in mine does not require complete darkness to activate the light. Even though dusk is sufficient, motion is required. I hope this information is useful.
They can, in fact, be mounted beneath an overhang. Both the lights and the sensor are capable of a large amount of rotation. The two sidelights are the only ones that are restricted in some way. However, the manual explicitly states that they can be hung beneath an overhang.
Ours is set at around 60 feet and easily reaches.

On my own property, I have several both inside and outside. This unit was recently installed for a customer to replace one that I installed 20 years ago. Because of the high ratings and integrated LED lighting, I chose this unit. Regrettably, it's a flop. It's affixed to a structure that faces a parking lot. The first night my customer arrived at the building in the evening, he called me. As he approached the front door, the light turned on, illuminating the area nicely, he said. The issue was that it never went off. Before he could leave, he had to shut off the light's circuit breaker. It appears that I will have to replace it once more. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> This light, it turns out, performs admirably; it is the customer who does not!.
Bright. In general, I'm pleased. I purchased six of these to replace some old halogen lights, and I am very pleased with the results. They've been with me for a while now. They were purchased in pairs to ensure that they would last. So far, everything has gone well. Advantages: br>br> br>• Bright lightbr>• Adjustable headsbr>• Simple installation (positive, negative, neutral)br>• Time-on optionsbr>• High sensitivity to motionbr>• Motion Distance Detection option br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. • No always-on option
• It's nearly impossible to get the lights and the motion sensor to face the same direction if you're mounting them under an eve. The light will always be a little to the side. br>br>*However, if you turn it on and off quickly two or three times, it will stay on. If you try this with a switch that is connected to more than one of these, they may not always sync up, and you may only have one light on.
I can compare it to another light I have on the opposite side of the house, and the motion detection is spotty. When I wave my hands in front of it, nothing happens; when I walk by, the light turns on. Then there's the rumor that LePower is spreading: If you turn on the (wall switch) power, their light will stay on indefinitely. NOT TRUE! The manual (attached) says so, but when I asked about it, they denied it and blamed it on Amazon (which, according to LePower, is slow to correct). The rumor is helping them but let me tell you 100%: The rumor is helping them but let me tell you 100%: It is ineffective. Do you need to turn on the lights for a small gathering or to complete some tasks? Hand waving is a useful skill to have. Get yourself a step ladder.
The mounting instructions were simple to follow and included all of the necessary electrical connectors, which was a nice touch! I'm still fine-tuning the motion sensor, but it's working well overall. br>br>One thing they don't tell you about is the built-in dusk to dawn sensor, which works flawlessly! When using the motion controller, the light will not turn on during the day. br>br>With the directional wings, the brightness is unbeatable. I can literally direct light up my driveway and across my house into my backyard, and I'm thinking about getting another for the back. Excellent value for money.
I installed 5000k floodlights to make it brighter, but I wanted to cover more space with light. The LEPOWER have been installed, and they are incredibly bright. It was incredibly simple to set up, and the motion sensor is extremely sensitive to humans rather than animals, which is exactly what I was looking for. I like how they can swivel to cover a wide range of areas.
On May 25, 2020, we received this light, which was received less than a month ago. After a few days, my husband (an electrician) installed it with ease. There are a lot of bright lights in this room. He programmed the timer to turn on, and it worked for less than four weeks. It is no longer activated by right-hand movement. It may have issues on the other side, but even if part of it doesn't work, it's a no-go. We have a different brand motion sensor light that we bought at Costco 7 years ago and it has worked flawlessly for all of those years for a similar price; however, this light failed in less than 4 weeks. We do not suggest it because it is a complete waste of money. We were only ONE DAY late for the month's return window. This is an Amazon purchase that is not recommended.
It has all the ambiance and warmth of a Chandelier FLARE dropped over a battleground (in fact, the chandelier flare looks "better")! It belongs at night in a junkyard or a used car lot. This is your baby if you want GOBS of BLINDING WHITE LIGHT that screams "GET OUT OF HERE" to anyone (or anything) who wanders into your safe zone.
To light up my front yard and driveway, I installed two of these on the front of my garage. The installation went smoothly, and the majority of the components are made of plastic. Unless they are completely out of sunlight, I doubt these lights will last longer than three years, if at all. The motion detectors are usually the most affordable components on lights like these. The motion detector's plastic lense is fairly thin, even though it appears to work well. As the sun begins to dry it out, it will dry out. The light itself is a lot smaller than you expect it to be. My neighbors like them because they can see pretty well in the dark while they are on because the lights cover about 150' in front of my garage and about 70' on either side. We'll have to wait and see how long they last. I'm hoping they last a long time because the brightness is incredible. You have a limited ability to control the light patterns. The diffuser lense on the front of the LEDs spreads the light out a lot, so it's not as directional as you might think. Overall, this is a good product for the price, and I'm considering getting another one for my backyard.
