In the base of each light, there is a black and white wire that connects to the source line and neutral. You could have them operate independently from different sources if you separated them, but why would you want to do that?
This light, in my opinion, should be mounted to an outside electrical "box" and then wired in series with your other lights, or a switch should be installed somewhere in between if you don't want all of your lights to turn on at the same time. I have two of these and they are perfect for my barn. They're screwed into the electrical boxes. I recommend that you hire an electrician if you don't know how to wire. It's a simple task to set these up.

They're set up beneath our shop's eaves. If you've ever installed lights before, this was a simple task. br>The plastic housings are quite durable; I dropped one from about 18 feet above the ground onto the gravel below. Aside from scratches, there's nothing to be concerned about. br>However, I do wish that the light housing adjustments were a little better. Depending on how far down or out each individual light is adjusted, they appear to become a little tight. br>Images depict installation and light output from our deck to the shop, which is approximately 60 feet away. And it's about 80 feet from the shop to our back yard. There's enough light for a nighttime game of corn hole or simply hanging out with friends. br>I can't comment on LED durability because they've only been in place for a few days. br>I'll let you know if the operation is hampered.
This light fixture has made a big impression on me. I purchased two of them to replace older halogen fixtures that were 300W (2 lights each). I purchased the switch. model that is controlled (no motion detector, no dusk-to-dawn-to-dawn-to-da til- I have my lights set on a timer switch, so I can use the dawn feature. If I forget to turn them off, they automatically shut off after 15 minutes. br>br>To be honest, I was worried that these lights wouldn't be "bright enough. " Ha! However, after seeing them in action, I'm worried that they'll be *too* bright and cause annoyance to the neighbors! They are extremely bright at 3000 lumens. The color temperature is 5500K, which is bright. 6000K - a very "white" color temperature. as if in daylight I have a large backyard, and two of these fixtures do an excellent job of lighting and covering the entire space, including the nooks and crannies. I mostly use them when I take my dogs out at night - I'd like to be able to "see" any other animals that might be lurking in the yard (we have both coyotes and bobcats here). br>br>The fixture body is made entirely of metal. The lens is made of metal (aluminum) and is protected by a plastic lens cover. Another fantastic feature of these lights is that they are extremely energy efficient. effective Each fixture uses only 28 watts, compared to 300 watts for traditional halogen fixtures (which don't produce nearly the same amount of light). They're rated for 50,000 hours of use, so hopefully I won't have to climb a ladder to replace halogen bulbs any longer! br>br>I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.
I bought these to replace our old, expensive-to-replace ones. halogen floodlights should be turned on outside. We didn't want motion sensor lights, and we didn't want dusk to arrive. We needed standard on/off lights for our back patio, but they're hard to come by! These LED lights are absolutely fantastic! It's like daylight in our backyard, with such a bright, clear, crisp light. That's precisely what we were hoping for. They were simple to install, according to my husband, and I'm no longer annoyed when the kids forget to turn off the back light $$$ We bought three and couldn't be happier. Great product at a great price, and the seller was quick to respond to my questions.
I bought this to replace my cheap old two-light kit on the soffit from years ago. The adjustment range is very small, so if you use a ceiling mount or a soffit mount, the lights will only shine down if your soffit reflects the pitch of your roof, which mine does, and will only shine against the wall down. This product does not have any photos, so it will be returned.
It's simple to plug into an existing electrical outlet. This isn't a light that turns on when motion is detected. Only a direct switch can be used with it.
For my Driveway basketball court, I thought I'd need to add another flood light. . . but these were plenty bright!.
LED spotlight with a head I'm at a loss for words. Its brightness has been praised in other reviews, and it is true. It appears to be well-built, but only time will tell if this is true. The mounting hardware (particularly the machine screws) was of poor quality in my opinion. In an attempt to get mine to mount flush with the house, I ended up stripping the threads and/or the cross bar thread. I ended up going with a more traditional outdoor-style camera. Instead, I used a high-quality wood screw, which did a great job of holding it in place. But, in general, it's fine, and I expect it to serve me well for many years.
I was ecstatic to find something for a reasonable price that didn't have any bells and whistles. There are no whistles, only a floodlight that has been turned on. Unfortunately, the first light that was installed only worked for about ten minutes. I gave it back to her. Reordered three more in case any of the first three were defective, in order to avoid paying an electrician for additional installation visits. br>br>In a nutshell: Rewired the entire setup twice more, each time with a new light. I've now failed twice. There's only one more light. It's been used twice, so it must be acceptable. Or perhaps he hasn't had the opportunity to fail yet. )br>br>What is the matter with this light? br>br>I contacted Amazon for help. Because I wasn't the installer, they couldn't safely guide me through troubleshooting.
