Questions & Answers

It looks like it has an attachment on the back to allow you to hang it from a tree, right?

The problem is that there are preconditions It should come with drilled holes and a set of wood screws so it can be attached. If you don't want to use a metal strap, you could attach one to the back and then wrap it around the trees. Drilling into a tree is not a good idea

Could you tell me what I need to do if the item was delivered to the wrong address?

The shipping company should be contacted.

Since I have had my for a very long time I cannot remember exactly how I attached my tree to it, but I believe I screwed a screw through the extended top and into the tree. This could of course be done by other methods, too. Thank you for your time, and I hope to help

What is the likelihood of rats getting into ?

We have had two feeders for years and have yet to see a rat at them. Even though it may be possible for rats to open the feeder, we have never seen one.

Since generations, squirrels have been fed by this feeder
5/5

A family of squirrels has lived in our backyard for more than 4 generations. We would put peanuts on the fence and watch the mothers feed the babies. At this point, we are in the fourth During the pregnancy, Mama gave birth to She goes by the name Butter and Jelly are the names I gave to her babies. The feeder we bought for Dad is an addition to the food sources for Winter. His name was Toast. The baby figured out how to open it in no time. The most exciting thing is seeing a squirrel seated IN the feeder when you're out in the backyard. There was rain in the morning. They make noise now when the place is empty, and they stare at the back of the house. We all crack up listening to him. A very good job has been done by the feeder. The product is not cracked or moldy. Two orphaned babies have taken up residence in the front yard, so we are going to buy another for the front yard and one for the front yard. Coffee and Cream are my names for them. am aware of that. Taking up a new hobby would be a good idea for me.

So far, I like it a lot! We received this yesterday and put it up at 8 a
5/5

m. At 30 pm. It took a long time for us to drill into the tree after I pulled the staple that held the plastic glass in place. Upon installation of the plastic glass, there was another staple used to hold it The screws we used were longer. I used longer screws because of the peanuts and our fat squirrels! To open the lid, the squirrels must be taught how. I did this in under 15 hours, and it only took me a few minutes. Taking a half peanut shell, I placed it under the lid of the box. In this way, the box was filled with peanut shells. Later, I placed two peanuts on a shelf or ledge. The peanuts were gone when I went out at 7am. The lid was closed, but the peanuts had not been opened yet. Two more peanuts were put out, and when I went back out at 1100am, the peanuts were gone, and I saw the lid of the box had been open because the shells keeping the lid opened were on the ground, and some peanuts were gone. All I gotta do, is catch them in the act. The box doesn't have a finish, and I live upstate NY, so I imagine it may only last for three to four years, but that's fine because the price is so hard to beat. Sometimes it's the little things in life that make you smile! By the way, I may just get one for my front yard!.

The squirrels destroy in minutes, and the results are impressive
3/5

In three hours a squirrel chewed up the sides and opened the top of the container. I bought it, but the plastic cover wouldn't close. I filled it and it was empty within an hour. During the next two hours, no feed was able to be poured into the feeder box. Totally disappointed because for less than $5 I can make a robust pvc pipe feeder.

Our super squirrels won't be able to handle this kind of quality
3/5

There is no need for me to tell you that squirrels are mammals! In less than a week, they demolished this building. They then ripped off the transparent panel, flung it away, and ate several cups' worth of corn, after which they ripped the clear panel off. Anyway, I guess it's all good! So the birds didn't have to go to the feeder as much! However, it is a little simplistic and unfinished. I could have purchased a handmade one from a local shop.

Stunning squirrels made from untreated wood that are also entertaining to watch
3/5

With the purchase of this feeder, I intend to have fun with my cat and myself at the same time. The design of this has been effective for what it was designed for, however I do have some issues. This may be because my neighbor has a very crafty gray squirrel or if all squirrels are as smart as this one. There is a gray squirrel in my backyard who has discovered how to prop food between the lid and the wall of the feeder to hold it open. In addition to taking away from the purpose of the lid, it also makes watching less enjoyable. After I learned to recognize the squirrel noise caused by the wood lid clunking down when food was retrieved, I became accustomed to it. I heard this sound while watching the free food, which is not only a satisfying sound to hear, but also a sign that something was there enjoying it. Due to those surfaces being flat and not angled, they seem to look more appealing. In order to fix the problem, I will take the feeder to the bench. The other problem with this feeder is that it isn't complete. If the wood was finished for the money, you would expect it to be. of these issues are easily dealt with by me, but my real question is why should I have to do either of these things and why did no one in the designers think of these things?.

A great way to spend the day outside! In a nutshell As soon as I noticed squirrels bending over backwards to get the food from the bird feeder, I bought this
5/5

The last couple of days have been amazing! Once the squirrels returned to the nest, they were immediately able to make sense of it and have been consuming peanuts like crazy since. My food is going to have to be rationed. Although I stained it myself as a layer of protection from the elements, you can tell it's very well constructed. A plexi-glass surface Glass has a high level of durability- There have been two instances in which I found it on the ground in the morning after some crows tried to get into it, and it has still been just as intact as whenever I found it. I have never gotten tired of watching them play in the feeder.

The feeder works very well! The feeder works very well! The wood on this piece is unfinished, which should be taken into account
4/5

The battalion (lol) of squirrels we own has purchased this. After reading other reviews, it appeared that they might not be able to open the lid, but in our case there were no issues There was also loose feed on the little ledge below the feeder that I added. It only took a day or two for them to adjust, and they were opening the lid on their own. A few pieces of wood were screwed together with plexiglass to create this simple, yet sturdy construction. Several people have said that the plexiglass can be easily removed As far as we know, the plexi was secure on the item we received. This issue can be resolved by adding a staple to the top. Despite the fact that the feeders have been outside in the Colorado weather for months and months, we have seen no problem.

A simple installation process
5/5

In a nutshell This system was extremely easy to install and took the squirrels no longer than half a day to figure It is no longer necessary for them to be constantly harassed by the dive bombing jays that came in around sunset. The video attached shows why I'll purchase a few more of these (see video). It's only my advice ours was installed into a very thick-barked live oak, so you'll need to assess the tree you're installing it on to see if you'll need to spare longer screws than what the feeder comes with. A stable environment should be resultant from this.
