Nine of the nine Among the contents of my 50 lb bag there were three dried hard raisins and a cup of peanuts. A melody is definitely not in the cards. In the field, there were a lot of seeds, so I had to use a strainer to remove them all. Sunflower seeds in shell make up 50% of the product. The other half of that 50% contains teeny tiny sunflower seeds that do not even have seeds inside. A large striped sunflower seed isn't even big enough to fit in the bowl of your bird feeder. * * * There are also 50% of safflower seeds in my yard, which all the wildlife in my yard ignores. Then, when they make contact with dirt, they begin to sprout like grass blades in my flower beds and on my lawn.
One Blue Jay visited, but they were able to share with each other. Then, as if by magic, the bird appeared on the bag! My first experience with a chickadee was to see it. They're so cute (and greedy too The cage has a mockingbird, a Titmouse, which is a new visitor, and yesterday a red-headed woodpecker yelled at a blue jay because the red-headed woodpecker had received news through the buffet. I love watching the feeder from the camera and play with it a lot. This is a popular breakfast item. The serving usually goes by 8am and the prices do start to go up. My next round might change to straight safflower seeds, and I might reconsider the placement of the feeding area as a lot of birds tend to bring a lot of poop with them.
If I went by weight, it was ok but it said it had raisins and peanuts as well but I rarely saw even half a peanut ( if that) per handful and never a raisin. So that's it. Could you please tell me? It'll get four or five stars if they give me that dang bag that everything they claim should be in it is true, I swear! If they can show me it was just a fluke, I'll up my stars from two to at least four or five!.
Unlike cheap, white millet that always make a mess and are left behind, this blend is nice for enhancing flavor. In my first photo you can see this seed, in the second one is Wagner's Songbird Supreme, which is one of the seeds I typically purchase. I'll likely get one of each of them to make sure all my birds are happy. It's the perfect combination of both of them.
Seeds from these plants attract birds such as robins, chickadees, finches, waxwings, and many others. A small to medium sized bird community made the backyard their home, and every evening was filled with the sounds of birdsongs. My old apartment used to have birdseed attracting pigeons and sparrows to attract my cat to the window, but my new place only has a rock well between my window and a concrete wall, so I bait my window with the seeds so I can see my cat.
You can find it in the birds' nests! The more I mix it with the regular seed, the more Cardinals and Doves I see in the yard. To birds, it is just like going out to a fancy restaurant instead of grabbing a quick bite.
The product is perfect for any fan of cardinals and chickadees.
