Questions & Answers

Can you tell me the quality of food? How do you know if the area is pesticide ?

I love it so much that my birds are fawning over We do not waste time or resources. Those things that fall to the ground are cleaned up by squirrels and birds.

It looks like the sunflower seeds I received are browner in color than the picture shows. Would you mind if I did that?

Sunflower hearts come from different sources, and their color varies, but most of the time I don't give it much thought and I let the birds choose what they like. It is not common for me to get unattended hearts.

Can you tell me if they are packaged in plastic or paper bags? Is it apparent that they are still fresh, or are they Please accept my thanks for your assistance. ?

Hello, these come in a large and sturdy paper bag with a string zipper that can be opened with just a pull. The seeds are very fresh, but they are accompanied by a warning about bacterial contamination that might exist. I assumed they meant It is not my habit to feed the squirrels and birds to snack on them. First time I bought seeds in the shell, then I realized they weren't available, so I switched to these, which I found much easier to keep around my yard. You don't know which particular supplier you will get when you reorder, but every time you do, they come from a different company, so there is no way to guarantee that you will get the same one I use.

An example of false advertising is The product is not made in the United States
3/5

According to the product description, the following features are available In the words of the USA Labels on bags say "Made in the USA," but they say this instead The origin This item was produced by Sadina Plant Ltd. , U. S. A. The address is Dimitrov 2 in It is clear that the advertisement is false. My wish for Amazon is that they would be more cautious about what they allow to be sold on their website.

We grow our products in Bulgaria, and we package them there, too! In the same way another reviewer on this site was shocked to learn that the packaging stated "From Bulgaria" I discovered the same statement
3/5

I have no idea what kind of insecticide(s)/pesticide(s) the Bulgarian growers are permitted to apply to a field crop not intended for human consumption, and now I'm wondering what I'm feeding 'my' local birds? It is imperative that we support you. I will definitely be buying from another seller on Amazon who advertises that their coarse sunflower hearts are sourced from the United States in the future. It may cost me a few dollars more, but it is worth it to me. In the past, I have been fooled by carefully worded claims on Amazon stating that the product was made in the U. S. The source is. I am concerned about the freshness of these kernels because of the high ocean freight cost and the time it takes to ship.

The best birdfeed for our backyard
5/5

We feed a lot of wild birds and have searched and researched the best birdfeed for our backyard. The low-odor birdfood is our favorite. Feed found at Walmart, Lowe's, etc. , tends to contain fillers (millet and other messy things that remain uneaten) that sprout in our yard around the base of the feeders as well as making a terrible mess on our patio. As a result of several factors, we eventually settled on the sunflower kernels. It is a paradise for birds and we enjoy seeing them in great numbers Having consumed so much during a feeding frenzy, there is a minimum amount of mess left Birds such as Robins, who have been chasing Cardinals away for ages, have moved next door to consume the cheap food. I found it to be quite pricey, but still.

This product is excellent but the packaging is terrible
5/5

My five-star rating comes from the fact the birds love it and the mess it leaves on the ground is minimal. There is a problem with the packaging, though! Essentially, it's a single 50LB bag made out of thin paper and tossed into a box, then sealed with standard lackluster packing The box is damaged about half the time on average (I've ordered this about 20 times over the past few years). Sometimes the paper bag is damaged as well. This means that seed leaking out in transit occurs when these two things happen at the same time. However, once it arrives, it's amazing! There are a lot of Cardinals and Goldfinches out and about! As a result, this product deserves five stars, but the packaging is only worthy of one.

In short, yes
4/5

The seeds in this "coarse" package are actually WHOLE sunflower The ones I'm referring to are larger ones. Despite the squirrels eating them and small birds disregarding them, the smaller birds seem to care about The seeds I have chopped are for mixing with the rest of the food, but I need to chop 50 pounds of seeds. The task is not easy. The next time I order from this brand, I will choose "fine" instead of "coarse". The bag came in the usual packaging for an item of this size This paper seed/feed bag is very sturdy and is made from hard paper. It is clean from seed to seed. It does not smell or appear to be contaminated. The seeds are great, but I would like to know the size and texture of the seeds before ordering them, since that affects how they will be used.

The sunflower seeds I prefer are wastefree, they provide the birds with a healthier diet The sunflower seed shells you mentioned are excellent
5/5

I searched high and low for shelled sunflower seeds because I could not find my favorite brand As far as I could tell, this was the best price on the market, so I ordered it. The product was well received. My own challenge was trying to lift 50 pound bags because I do not have the strength. To reduce the size of the containers, I transferred the weight into smaller 20-pound Other than that, I am glad I bought it. you're not familiar with sunflower seeds as bird food, they are the most popular with all bird types, and since they have no shells, there is no mess to clean up.

It is an excellent product for filling bird feeders
5/5

A great wild bird food made from sunflower hearts. The sunflower heart is a favorite food for many birds, including bluebirds. The result is no waste to clean up, therefore no hulls to deal with. Young birds are brought to the feeders by their parents for sunflower hearts during the spring. It happens occasionally that rabbits inspect the ground around the feeder to make sure that none have been broken off by the birds. I definitely recommend it.

Their appeal is based on the fact that birds like them
4/5

I have been reelected for the sixth time Order is important. It was the first time until this time that seeds didn't quite turn out how they were described. Despite being described as "coarse kernels," as you can see in the picture, the seeds this time (on the left) are very small and broken compared to what I received in the last shipment (on the right) and all previous This time, the sack was different, perhaps indicating that the grower had changed. However, the birds don't seem to be as different as they usually are. It's just unsettling how much the "same" product can vary from one company to another.
