The pressure tank for a well can be installed in a variety of ways
5/5

Several years ago we bought a piece of land adjacent to our property to use for gardens and fruits. It had a log cabin and a deep well, which we still use today. In 1969, the cabin had been vacant for many years, so we decided never to fix it up as it had been disconnected from the rural water supply. Instead of putting the well back into use, we simply used it to irrigate a few acres of trees, bushes, In the late 90s, I dug a deep hole to keep the pump and it stayed there for about 5 years. I managed to have it running again about 5 years later. It ran a few years ago with a new pump control box, but it stopped again a few years later. In my mind, I was going to pull the pump myself because I knew there was a problem with the start circuit, but it was about 425 pounds We were lying on the floor seven feet down and it was a lot of weight, so I finally called in the pros. Thankfully, they did the job in three hours Due to the conversion of the cabin into a chicken coop, shop, and greenhouse, bringing water from our house to our cabin was becoming more and more demanding. Water is scarce here on the high desert, and irrigation water from the mountains rarely lasts until the end of gardening season, so we decided to hook up the well to the cabin and set up a utility sink which drains outside so we can reuse the water. As a result, we would have to install a pressure tank, in addition to all the parts needed to run the system. main part of the garment is the Tee, which can be used as old as you have (which we didn't Take a piece of pipe or PVC and make your own About 100 to 200 dollars can be spent on a complete Tee assembly The dollar The Tee can also be bought alone and the parts can be added In fact, I had the valves and pressure gauge I needed so we went for the last option. It meant spending money on (price in parenthesis) for four more parts The tank tee (20), pressure switch (10), the 1/8" brass pipe for the switch (4) and the relief valve (4) are all part of the tank system. The pricing I found on this site was fairly good, so my overall cost came out to about $38 I saved a lot of money, so that was pretty significant. I don't have to run back into the house now that everything is installed to water the plants, and I can clean up all that stuff the chicks poop on. Our irrigation season will be over soon, but when we use the well water through the yard hydrant that we added we will have a bit more pressure and can run a few more sprinkler heads than we can use our gravity fed rural water supply for. Stainless steel pressure valves have been plugged back into the sink, so if it pops, it will drain outside. I have also added a 240V outlet at the end. Our cabin is equipped with a V switch, so we can easily shut off the power to the well when we are not in it. In my opinion, if the little pressure switch failing to cut power to the pump means the well pump will overheat and fail in only a few minutes since the internal parts will literally melt. That would be yet another costly problem if the pressure switch failed to cut power to the pump. My paranoia may be a bit excessive, but that's just me. I feel much more comfortable leaving it unattended when I know it won't start up. I had to remove a wire from the floor, it was not part of my system. It works for me, but won't pass an inspection, so if you need one you'll probably want to make sure your cables are armored or that there is a watertight conduit that leads to and from My only gripe with this Tee is that the hole sizing is not stated clearly or perhaps I did not read the description carefully, but the 2" is not as wide as I would have expected from the description. There are only a half-dozen holes on the front Women who are at least one inch tall. It took me 3/4 of an hour to see it I purchased a pressure valve that was too large, however I just installed it in a different place than I was originally planning to do so, and where you put the parts is not very Except for those minor issues, the castings and threading seemed fine. . . and the price was reasonable. If you have leaks in the tank bottom fitting, make sure you cover all exposed areas with Teflon tape because it is too hard to give it an additional turn once all the plumbing parts and parts are attached.

This is a brass plumbing tee
3/5

It is the brass tee I used for installing a pressure switch and gauge on my incoming well service. It has the tapped holes needed for it to fit over the Considering the current state of manufacturing, I would rate the quality as average The majority of ones I have examined in stores have less than perfect castings, and I suspect that the threads may need some quick attention, too. For me, this is a lesser of two evils compared to fabricating my own plumbing fittings, since I really don't like messing with the type of plumbing fittings I have to deal with. It is not leaking, which is the most important factor, however I would advise you to inspect it carefully before installation.

I like it and it works well
4/5

The tank tee I purchased for this purpose was to make sure I had an alternative to my existing well pressure tank. There were no issues with this tank tee as opposed to the previous one because it was a much heavier material. It is important to understand that all of the plugs required to plug the holes/ports you don't use will have to be purchased separately. The two smaller plugs from my old tank tee could be reused. I've been using the new one for a few months now and it works perfectly and fits my Well Xtrol WX202D tank appropriately. This tee can be used with most tanks that accept a 1" pipe thread. Steve K. ,

I found this to be an excellent value for The pressure tank on my 52-gallon tank was worked on
5/5

While I was concerned this might not be long enough for my 52 gallon tank, it ultimately proved to be perfect But only by a little bit The solution worked, however. However, I did need to use a reducer bushing for the tank, but together with that this worked well. It has been installed for approximately a month now and has not sprung a leak.

My wife's tank top is great
4/5

A heavy duty bronze tank top that looks good and was very competitive with Home Depot. The ease of ordering makes up for the difference, it was delivered It is nice that the internal and external threads are dual, it can reduce the need for extra reducers or fittings in some cases. Thank you for the great products!.

This is an easy to install product
5/5

It's true that I should have gotten one that was a little bit shorter, but this is just fine for the job. I connected the spigot, pressure gauge, pressure relief valve, and pressure switch easily.

The quality is good
5/5

Tees crafted and fitted well. Treads have good machined and fittings had good fittings on them. For a precharged tank of 86 gallons, I used this. The large capacity tanks are barely long enough for it, but it is still a good In order for the 1/4" nipple to work with the pressure switch, it needs to be 1 in long. In order to enable installation of the switch cover, the length of the switch must be increased.
