It will become stuck unless your lawn is nearly level.
I enjoy trying to figure out how the turn algorithm works on a no-frills robot mower. I'm happy with the price.
Make a financial saving. This device is a shambles. Make a financial saving. I wish I had had the opportunity. It did a lap around the boundary wire before crashing into some bushes, ignoring the boundary wire. Following that, the F- is displayed. There was only one error, and when I contacted tech support, they were completely useless.
I'm on my third robotic mower, and I'm really enjoying it. Because I live in Hawaii and my lawn (which is about 1/2 acre) grows quickly, I run them every other day for the entire day. As a result, they're only good for a couple of years. br>As for MowRo (RM24), it has rudimentary software that is a pain to use, has few options, and locks the mower periodically. The mower locking is strange, according to support, and there is no way to fix it. I told them I wanted to return the mower, and they said because I'd had it for more than 30 days (I'd had it for about 5 months), I could only get a partial refund and would have to return the mower and everything that came with it, including the boundary wire and stakes, at my expense, and I'd be charged for anything that was missing. Are you kidding me with the boundary wire and stakes? They also failed to deliver the Weather Shed, which I had requested. br>br>The bottom line is that there are a lot of good robotic mowers in the same price range. MowRo is not one of them, and their customer service is atrocious.
We have a 20-foot-long fence in our yard. We bought this because the specifications said it could handle a 30 degree slope at its steepest. However, when it tries to change directions at the slope's boundary wire, its wheels spin as it tries to overcome gravity and the force required to turn the front casters. You can see how our yard was harmed by the spinning wheels this summer. br>br>It's also gradually but steadily arcing to the right. We used it the rest of the summer. br>br> It was wonderful to only have to trim the periphery every now and then.
So far, everything has gone well. My first robotic mower, and believe me when I say it took me a while to find one I liked. If you're unsure about robotic mowers, this is the best bang for your buck. It does a great job mowing my quarter-acre lawn, and it has a rating of 8. Cutting path may be slightly larger than 5in. The only complaint I have is that the control interface is a little too basic for my tastes, and it can be confusing at times. It includes an installation kit as well as two blade sets. I'm not sure why this mower has such a low rating, but rest assured that when I buy something like this, I do my homework and can spend weeks listening to, watching, and reading about the product and my options. If you don't care about the extra bells and whistles, this mower is the best bang for your buck. Advantages: br>br> I haven't had to mow my lawn in a long time. The best value for your money. Sensor on the bumper. Customer service is non-existent. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there is no customer service. br>br> There is no zone mode available.
I believe it is a very competitive item on the market for a reasonable price; I'm not sure why the others are so enraged. The interface is a little light and simple, and it would be nice to interact with it via an app, but it's more of a set it and forget it approach. There is also no way to obtain software updates. One irritant I discovered is that you can't set the schedule after 7 p. m. in the evening. 30 p. m. , which I avoided by setting the clock two hours earlier so that I could begin at 9 a. m. 30 p. m. , for a nighttime performance. This keeps it out of the sun during the day and out of the way of dogs and people for the majority of the day. To keep it out of the sun during the day, I built a small garage for it out of some cedar pickets I had on hand. After each mowing, it's nice to see it properly park itself in there. br>br>In my backyard, I have about 8,000 square feet of grass that gets everything. Because I have many obstacles and a fence, installing the boundary wire took a long time but was well worth it in the end. Every couple of weeks, I use a walk-behind mower to mow around the perimeter and in between the trees. br>br>I'm impressed with how well it handles my yard's slope, particularly on the side of my house where the slope is quite steep. br>br>I had the RM 18 model before upgrading to this item. That model was a pain to work with, as it frequently got stuck and had issues with islands and docking. So now that I have this model, I wish I had started with it. br>br>I like not having to cut the back grass because there are so many obstacles, and it's nice to see the grass cut neatly all the time. If you just want something simple, I think this one will suffice; most of the models, from what I've seen, have a boundary wire, which is the most inconvenient part of setting up a landroid. Before you use it, you should give it a good cut. I have no problems with Kentucky Blue Grass. Also, the customer service was excellent and extremely helpful. br>br>.
