Husqvarna AUTOMOWER 310, Robotic Lawn Mower

I watched over 100 hours of reviews and conducted extensive research prior to purchasing the mower. br>Choosing Husqvarna was a wise choice. br>The construction quality is excellent. It was simple and quick to set up. My backyard now resembles a carpet after two months!
TIP: This is their tiniest lawnmower. It's more than enough for my small fenced-in backyard. Make sure your lawn isn't bigger than the mower's capacity. PROS: br>br> br>It actually works! br>It's a well-cut piece. br>The phone's user interface is excellent. br>There is no real maintenance other than changing the cutting blades (which takes about 5 minutes)br>br>CONS and TIPSbr>Not for everyone or every yard, as you can see in videos on YouTube. br>Setting up takes some time and will require some tweaking. You'll have to move the wire from time to time, and you'll also notice where the mower gets stuck. br>Use the "staples" from the install kit to secure the wire; there's no need to bury it. br>br>Bottom Line:br>Amazing mower and time saver if you don't mind the setup.

TL; DRbr>Get a Worx Landroid if you want a robotic lawnmower that cuts your grass and keeps your yard looking nice. It's less expensive, performs better, and comes with more features. br>br>I bought the 310 because my other robotic lawnmower (which was only running in the backyard) couldn't handle the front yard, which is about 0. I had hoped for 18 acres, and I got it. However, given that it was promoting its stated acreage support, I wasn't entirely surprised. br>br>PROS OF THE 310: I wish I could say something nicer. br>
- The only thing I can say about the experience that was positive is that Husqvarna did a good job of making the setup of their robot lawnmower a little easier than the main competitor (Worx Landroid).
- To assist with grass edge trimming, the 310 has a handy feature that allows you to tell it how far "over" the line you want it to cut.
- It comes with an app, which is convenient (though all competing products now do as well). br>br>CONS of the 310:
- The 310 wasn't even close to being able to support the land. It took over 17 runs to completely mow 0. There was a time when I had 18 acres.
- In comparison to other products, the battery life is abysmal, lasting only about 20 to 30 minutes at most. It was so bad that I called their tech support line (which was very helpful) only to be told that it was normal. It may be normal for the 310, but it was not normal for my other robotic lawnmower, which did a better job in the front (running an average of 60 minutes) despite being designed to cover less land.
- It scatters clippings all over the place (I've seen it happen at various heights)br>- It has poor pathing-br>- Pricetag. Given how well my previous robot lawnmower performed, I was on the verge of purchasing a second one. However, given some of the 310's features, I decided to take a chance. br>br>The 310 was ineffective for me, to the point where I returned it (without being fully reimbursed) and bought a newly released version from the same brand I used in the backyard, which has performed admirably.

br>It handles my rough terrain well, stays within the boundaries I set, and always returns to the docking bay. br>Scheduling is also excellent. br>All you have to do is plan ahead of time to set up the boundary wire, as with any mower, and follow the instructions, and your mower will run flawlessly! br>That's one less thing I have to worry about!.

This automower may be less expensive than hiring a local to help with lawn maintenance over the next two years. br>br>How did the mowerpan turn out? It is still consuming funds after less than a year. When I decide to use it, I have to keep an eye on it every day. Better movement technology, better weatherization at the charging station to withstand rain, and a meaningful warranty are all required for the 310 to succeed. br>br>What could be better about the Automower 310:
- Major: The waterproofing isn't quite what it appears to be. Following an above-average performance, The mower would not start again if it rained on a regular basis. A warranty repair attempt resulted in a failure. Instead, Husqvarna informs me that the warranty does not cover a "surge. " I had a working unit again (thanks to my local repair shop) for $400, but there was no warranty coverage. a simple dollar amount If there was truly a "surge," a 50-fuse solution would have solved the problem, and a few rubber gaskets would have solved the rain problem.
- Major: This isn't a simple plug-and-play situation. After professional installation, I had to tweak the settings about once a month to make sure the automower didn't get stuck on the street (waiting for a car to run it over at night) or miss spots. br>- Major: It is simple to break the boundary wire. Gophers have prompted me to invest in wire detection equipment and to replace the boundary wire every three months or so. Once again, the purpose of this mower is to reduce the amount of work required, not to increase it. This "no loop signal" is about to become your new least favorite chorebr>- Major: the find- There is a severe lack of programming available at home. My $150 vacuum cleaners do a much better job of returning to their charging station than this $1,500 mower. It takes me about 1 minute to pull the mower out from under my cars. Due to its poor navigation programming, it occurs twice a week.
- Minor: While this is a safety feature, it does not cut your lawn's edges (for example, against fences and walls). All edges must be trimmed with a weed trimmer. br>br>Benefits of the Automower 310:
- The majority of the above maintenance can be done on cooler days, allowing you to stay out of the sun for the most part. br>- Exceptionally quiet. I'm up at 1 a. m. , and I'm running this. 5am. The lawn looks fantastic when it's working properly.
- It is not necessary to bag cut grass. The amount of hair it clips each night is small, as advertised, so it can be re-used. adsorbs into the soil without causing any problemsbr>- The App, which has a better interface than the automower itself, allows you to change most of the settings. br>- It is suitable for use by both pets and children. Because there is such a large gap between the blade and the mower's edge, getting cut by the blade is difficult unless you try really hard. br>br>Overall, I'm surprised at how much work I've had to do to keep this equipment running after I bought it. You should be aware that you're about to embark on a major project that you'll have to keep an eye on on a daily basis.

After only a few days, our device stopped working. The keypad and screen were both functional, and the battery was fully charged, but the unit would not turn on. When it worked, the results were mediocre. The drive-by shooting The wire concept is difficult to implement, and I'm not sure it's long-term viable. We are a "smart home" family with roombas and other gadgets, but this auto mower isn't up to par.
