There is no way it will happen. They are designed to fit 5 point spindles. There are six points among the spindles of the Craftsman lt2000.
I agree, there is one blade. I have both on the mower at the moment. To me, this seems like a fine idea.
Honestly, I don't know the thickness other than to say they are pretty close to the OEM blades I removed from the machine. I bought my last set of blades in 01/2019, and I will be replacing them again this year with this exact set. This means that they work well and last a long time.

A great price and perfect fit made these blades an excellent purchase. Since I wore them many weeks ago, they are still cutting exactly how I want them to. I sharpen them every year or two and still use my original blades Keeping your blades sharp is a good idea. Don't injure yourself as you do so. This set of twin blades is highly recommended.
While I have never enjoyed coated blade edges, the ones that came out of the box were sharp. My personal preferences aren't quite as sharp as I'd like. With a belt sander, I removed the coating from the cutting edges and refined the edges to the point that they could be used to shave with. As of now, after three runs, these blades are holding up quite well. In spite of getting hit by some fallen branches that are about a half-inch deep, the edges of the branches remain very sharp. dings to the edges, no warping, etc. When it came to installing them, the cutouts were the correct size and shape to fit my Craftsman lawn Quite satisfied with the outcome.
