Garretts doesn't claim it digs through concrete, at least that's something at least.
It's okay to use the palm if it is small enough. Samoa pups tend not to root too deeply in the earth. I wouldn't recommend doing that if it was a large palm.

find it hard to comprehend how the expectations some people might have for a 10 dollar digging tool could be so high. I was impressed by how sturdy it was for only There is no way it can match a 35-dollar tool when it comes to sharpness. In the red clay of North Carolina, it will dig a good plug and will not bend if sharpened with a file. The tool is by far the best out of those that I have owned in the past. It will bend if you try to pry away big rocks from a hole with this kind of tool. It will also bend if the $ 35 tool is bent. If I had to buy another one, I wouldn't hesitate.
My handle immediately bent off as soon as I pushed it into the ground a couple inches and gently pushed down to pry the dirt out. I wonder if this has happened to anyone else? In any event, a bit disappointed considering it's only $10-$15 Here are the 11 items.
Metal detecting is why I bought this. This is a very sturdy umbrella, and the orange handle is extremely visible. Due to the factory coating on the blade, the edge is completely dull, so I have taken away one half star. While you won't have a problem with sand or loam, you'll want to put a sharper edge on your mill file if you want to reduce your frustration from the frozen ground.
Overall, I rate this product five stars for durability, strength, and price, which combine to make it a great value for shoppers on a budget. I think the protective coat is similar to implement paint, the kind used to paint tractors and other heavy equipment, so I guess it should last a long time.
Sorry to disappoint you! After prying free the first plug I cut from this device the blade bent at the tip. I bought it to use while metal detecting. It is not worth the trouble to even replace it or return it. I would have bought the Garrett model instead.
More than sufficient considering the price. The Digmaster is not sharp like the White's Digmaster, which I recently acquired, neither does it have the same fit and finish, and the sheath is pretty much as cheap as one can get. The digger works fine and for the price is a good buy for someone who is a first-time buyer.
I live in Las Vegas, where ground is a big deal. This tool digs easily through hard rock and hard dirt in Las Vegas where the ground is nothing but hard rocks and hard dirt. A well-made product.
It sounded like a lot of money for a device I might only use once and never use again for my purposes, but I was hesitant to spend $34 on a Garrett. Due to this, I purchased the Prospector's Choice for about 33% of the cost. I was ready to be disappointed, but what I discovered is that the prospector's choice does what it seems to do. What a strong and well-built device this It is pretty much impossible to imagine a Garrett that is any better other than the natty logo. In the end, I have found this thing to be beyond my.
