There is a Troy-based device in my home Weed eater with jump start that I bought the attachment for the drill to go with it and I absolutely With mine, I no longer need to pull on a cord and it always starts up as soon as I turn it on. When I saw the drill attachment, I was not going to buy it because of the jump start however, it was well worth it. Attachments for the drill can absolutely be found here but I assumed they were available at my local Lowe's store as well.
It doesn't work if you walk with the edger backwards, but if you walk backwards with it, it works. Don't let your neighbors see you getting too close to the edge, lol. The way I use it is this!
I would check the belt tension if that's the case. There is a good chance that the belt is slipping if the motor is running and the blade is not.
The size of one inch is too large, so it would not be recommended. Because the blade is belt driven, it would have difficulty cutting through something that large.

This usually happens after we pull two or three times. It started right up on the third pull for me after I followed the instructions, added the oil and new gas, pumped the rubber button 20 times, and it came in the mail today. For 30 to 60 seconds, I let it have a break, and it edged my driveway My power seems to have been more than adequate. As a result of mixed reviews when I bought it, I was skeptical, but so far I am happy with it. A review that I read claimed that it didn't edge well, but I am not convinced by that statement. You're welcome to look at my photo of how well it defied expectations on the first go. As much as possible, I set the depth gauge back three from the deep edge cut so as not to damage my semi-wet It looks like I can finally throw away my other electric cord edger! In the future, I will be curious to see how long this tool will last. The situation will be updated if anything changes, but so far everything is going well.
My only complaint is that it doesn't do the work for me automatically like I'd want. How do you expect to cut something if you're so serious about it? Yes, those blades turn in the opposite direction. Well, what about that. I cut my edging time in half and it works without issue. An investment that is well worth your money.
I used to edge my driveway and walk-way my "weed-eater", but that's not an option anymore Eat the weeds with the edging attachment until the weed-eater is no longer needed He died of his injuries. It is a replacement and doesn't work as well as my old equipment did. Once you turn off the engine after running for a while and turning it back on, it won't run at full throttle for about 5 minutes It acts like a flood is coming after 10 minutes of restarting. Oil is located on the side of the engine compartment (it opens horizontally) and does not have a dip stick. Having trouble telling how much oil there is is a common problem.
There's a lot of stuff in that area that needs to be cleaned. Quite a bit of sod is on the ground. As such, defining an edge of a 'trenche' has not been very easy. To sum it all up, the equipment is very light in Parkinson's disease and balance issues make it hard for me to use an edger. But I am able to control it successfully. Sadly, I am not able to start the project because of my health. We had to buy a drill attachment to get it started, however. It is my feeling that as soon as the weather dries out and the ground freezes, which may not be until next year In the spring, use of the equipment will be much easier, since clogs will not exist and edges will be as sharp as they should be.
The grasses in Florida, with their thick, floritam-like growth, won't respond well to this product. There are some wimpy parts to it. The wire standoff gauge and the plastic blade guard are classic examples of There are likely people with southern heat resistant thick widebladed grass who ought at a minimum to purchase one with a larger engine.
The price is reasonable for what you get, but I think it will work much better on northern rye blends. I wasn't very impressed in general.
This system is great for cutting a clean, straight edge into your lawn, providing you 2. . . a) The soil is dried out. a. Soil that is damp will clog the blade and possibly cause it to seize. b. A) The trail is not blocked by roots. An engine this weak will not be able to cut roots larger than 2 inches in diameter. 3.
It is possible to make it start at all. It was very difficult to get started and keep it running straight out of the box. If I cover it, I've had the best luck getting it to go Make sure the system is primed. 15 minutes would be a good start It is recommended that you perform 20 pumps rather than 10. you should only have to keep the choke lever pushed down when the throttle is between 50-75 There is no way it is 98 degrees outside! The issue wasn't fixed the first time, so I had to restart the program every time. I haven't had any trouble keeping it that way once you have it up and running. This is a great edger, but its engine is not a formidable one. This year 2020 Although it still requires some work to get started, it works well once it is up and running. In order to get the engine to turn over, I would suggest using the JumpStart drill bit The string is much easier to pull than it is to tug the string repeatedly.
In the summer, I purchased this edger with the expectation it would last for Despite many attempts to start, though, it has been difficult to do so over the last month, and its not going to It has been a long time since I have used Troybuilt, but this experience has made me doubt that this Getting rid of lawn equipment after one season is not worth it I am not disappointed that you chose to spend $200 on this complete piece of junk from Troybuilt - if you wanted to waste $200, then this is the piece of junk to choose from - Your expectations will be disappointed because you will get nothing out of it. I bought my last edger over 20 years ago and it lasted for many years, so it's not like I don't know how to use and maintain my equipment properly. In my recent research, I noted that a lot of other people have experienced the same problems as me, I wonder why Amazon continues to sell it?.
The Troy-based dentist saw it and diagnosed it as a cleft lip and palate A warranty center was built, and after about three weeks, the problem was fixed. There was a break in the dogs on the flywheel. It's the same problem I had when I got it back and tried using it three times. When I returned it, MTD, the manufacturer of Troy-brand products, contacted me Their response was that I was pulling too hard and that they would no longer cover my purchase. It is the first time I have experienced this break among all the lawn products I have had. There is a high probability that this product is fragile, so I recommend avoiding it.
