Last April, when I purchased this edger, I was roughly 11 months old. Last spring, I enjoyed using the tool and was pleased with how easy it was to use. Also, it did a great job Our sleds were put away for the winter, and we just got them out again During the 45 minutes my husband was using it, he checked the oil and gas. When he turned it off and tried to restart it, he was unable to do so. His vehicle was towed to a local shop, where the engine was diagnosed as having become frozen. (Excuse me) They thought it was nothing but a piece of crap. As a result, after fewer than four total hours of use, we will need to find another means of edging our flower beds. This would not be a purchase I would make.

I have purchased a lot of lawn equipment in my lifetime, but this is absolutely the biggest turd I have ever purchased. The fact that you can take a brand name like Craftsman and turn it into cheap junk should be against the law. What does it mean for the blade to push the grass out of the way so when you pass it bounces back. It goes back and forth again and again, but it will not The blade shown here is a new one.

I pulled the recoil out to use it again and it After much searching for someone who would repair it under warranty (I was unsuccessful), I had it repaired. I only had to pay $12 to have the recoil restrung. I turned it off and took a break before I used it again and it worked like a charm. I went back to start it, but again the recoil was not working. I was told this time that he would have to order a part since obviously there is a problem with the recoil. A very disappointing experience.

Craftsman E405 29cc edger assembled easily and was ready to use in a matter of minutes. went through the rest of the instructions and made sure to use the Edger for a good number of years, taking the time to fill it with fresh gasoline. began working after just a few pulls, and I let it idle for a few minutes before turning it off. I was pleased with the experience so far. My old edger easily handled the ground the next day, although I did have to admit that it was a bit moist. To edge my lawn, I found the Craftsman E405 29cc kept bogging down I had to be particularly careful not to overtax it. After I edged the canvas, it took me 2 hours I was less impressed with the edger after using it than I was with my previous cheapo weed eater edger, and it took 3x as long. According to the builder, the machine seems to be quite well built, and it was easy to assemble. However, I would recommend a more powerful engine if you intend to use it without picking the perfect edges. Hopefully, I will be able to use the edger again in the next day or two and report back if I feel it warrants an update.

I found this app so easy to use that I even got my 65-year old mother to use In addition, it uses regular gas instead of a mix and is much quieter than the other ones I have had in the past. My previous edgers were accessories for my weed eater, so I will never use them again, now that I've found this one.

I used fresh ethylene-free gas and had to pull the starter cord about 50 times to start it. I don't recommend it.
