How does the Left/Right divide work What is the opposite hand version of this Fish Turner/ Spatula? Is there an opposite hand version with the metal end facing the other way?

As he makes his left-handed turn, Lamson Version in the right hand.

What is the magnetic property of this object?

It won't rust if it is magnetic, it is a lower grade of stainless steel, and impurities have to be added to a high grade. It is a bad idea to use corrosive grade stainless steel on induction stoves. Pans and pots need it, but you don't want it in this type of vessel.

The research I have done on fish spatulas has taken most of my time. My boss is one of the top 10 chefs in the country and I've been working there for the last five years Despite working 6 days a week for 12+ hours a day, I still use my spatulas quite frequently. As a temporary cost-effective fill in until I could get back in stock at my local brick and mortar store for the $50 german brand one I wanted, this guy worked for me perfectly. After using this for a very long time, I just didn't upgrade as planned because I was so happy with the edge and handle. A new troupe of stages came in and pushed down on things so hard that the metal bent back and forth continuously for about 6 months before finally giving way to the stress, much like bending a soda can tab back and forth causes the tin to shear off within two or three My experience with this spatula is completely different from the claims made by some reviewers. The knife is branded with the Victorianox logo, the tang and rivets are smooth and the wood is free of cracks and splinters. Ordering on a whim was a gamble that I took and was pleased with the results. In any case, it is evident that the durability of your equipment depends on how you treat it, so keep that in mind if you are in an environment with others who are using your equipment. Ultimately, yes, I would order again as a backup spatula, however, I will get a nicer one if I do wish to purchase one for daily use. Additionally, Marcy, if you're reading this, know that I need a new spatula from you.

This item does not match the description or the picture
3/5

In this case I received a turner that did not match is picture or description in the ad. That picture shows it was made in China, while the picture in the ad shows the labeling and labeled as made in the United States. At the tip or flip edge, the size is also 4 1/2". It would be helpful if the picture and description were updated on the advertisement.

Easily made at a cheap price
3/5

3 uses of the handle and the handle has come undone. I as well have noted in other reviews that the machining isnt the best. Inside the rounded parts of the slots, at the bottom, there is a little notch in each slot after it turned around a tad too low. On the head of the scraper, there were a few machining nicks. It feels rough to hold thanks to the metal on the outside. By pressing down with some force, you can see the handle pushing away from the metal, leaving a small gap which is not entirely certain how durable it will be. *Edit
Since the third time I used it (grilled cheese), it's gotten considerably looser. It would be possible to hear and see the metal in the handle bouncing back and forth if I lightly shook it back and forth.

There is no recourse and the quality is poor
3/5

Using this twice and I have already split the handle! As a kid, I used it to turn shrimp into kabobs, and again to scoop out brownies from the freezer. There was something wobbly about the spatula and it was not secured to the handle well. My eyes immediately caught sight of a split in the wood! My manufacturer responded, stating that I need to send them the item, plus a ten-dollar fee, in order to secure their lifetime warranty. In either case, there is about 75% of the cost of the item new, and you will still end up with an item of extremely poor quality. It's too late for me to return too.

I'm also outside of my return period. The warranty that comes with this turner, nor the company that stands behind it (Victorinox) makes me absolutely afraid to recommend it.

There is a lot to like about this item
4/5

There is a lot to like about this item. Reviewers have indicated that their wood handle was rough and/or that the hand guard's metal tang was not ground evenly into the wood. These things are not present in my search. For anyone buying an unfinished wood handled utensil, I suggest that they 1) Apply some food grade mineral oil or butcher block oil right away to the handle, and then periodically over time to keep it from splintering. 1) Please do not use a dishwasher on wood handles (a dishwasher will do the job on any utensil within a minute in New York). There was one thing I did not expect the front edge of the spatula was a little coarser than I would have expected. But if you use a 400-grit wet sandpaper to clean the piece I was able to get it the way I wanted it with dry sandpaper. Since the price of this spatula was less than half the price of the Wustoff Gourmet fish spatula that is considered to be the best in the class, I did not find that a deal breaker. Although I am pretty satisfied with this product, I only gave it four stars because I had to do some work on it to get it in top shape. In the event that something changes, I will inform you.

The tool is nice, but it is poorly The following are my thoughts on the review The tool itself is effective and well designed, but it has a poor finish that makes the "made in USA" label less convincing
3/5

* Design - From a logical standpoint, it makes perfect sense. A good knife should be not too large, not too flexible, and with a sharp enough edge so that it can slide nicely under delicate foods. The finish line As far as its build quality is concerned, it is rough around the edges (literally), which is surprising given the relatively high I was worried about tiny metal splinters falling into the food because the front edge had a rough finish with visible burrs, so that it dragged on bottoms of pans. While I had to file it with a fine metal file and hon it with a honing rod, the coarseness of the steel's grain makes me wonder how long that new edge will last.

The There is a sharp edge to the steel tang that protrudes between the wood and the finish of the wood itself needs to be sanded and sealed. It has numerous tool marks on the wood, I had to pick off two splinters, and there are gaps around a few of the rivets which don't give me The only way to tell how well it stands up to hand washing is to wait and see, but I expect it to fade quickly, even if I dry it right away, and I wouldn't be surprised if the wood starts to fall off A $5 Chinese meal has been consumed by me They could make wooden handles for kitchen tools that would be better.

An opportunity for excellence was missed
3/5

A good attempt was made to develop a quality product, but it was not executed well. There were some metal burs in the slots of the spatula that had not been cleaned. I don't think it's a big deal. A crack has appeared in the wood handle, which is more important. In no way have I run this article through a dish washer, never let it sit Always wash your hands with soap and dry them with a towel. It was important to finish the wood handle with oil because of its unfinished nature. One day I'll replace the crack in the handle with a new.
