These basting brushes are good. I like that they came in a pack of two and that they don't string out and leave little bristles like the paint brush type basting brushes.

The cleaning process is very simple. In terms of my purpose, (to spread ghee on toast) the bristles were too long and my bread would stick to them. A loose term. My intention was to use it for Thanksgiving Turkey's skin to spread butter and seasoning, but I have found that I can use it for different cuts of meat and vegetables. It is great for spreading oil because you can cover the whole surface without having to pour a lot of it. When I season meat/vegetables, I usually immerse a brush in oil and seasonings (like parsley) and spray the surface rather than painting it with the brush and I find that's the most effective way to keep your foods from becoming overcooked.
