There is no stamp indicating that the item was made in the United States of America. br>As a result, China is very likely.
I'm not sure if they were made in the United States; I ordered them but they were too long for my grill, so I went with another option.
We've used them several times with shrimp, pork, and beef chunks and have had no issues. However, we haven't tried them with lamb. Our purchase has been a great success for us.
Please double-check the size of your Easy Kebab Maker in case our skewer is too big and won't fit. The skewer we're using is 16 inches in length. 8" long by 0" in width The width is 28 inches. First and foremost, let me state that this is the best skewer I've come across thus far. It's just over a quarter inch wide, which is ideal. Bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms tend to split when cut with wider blades, whereas narrower blades allow them to spin. The only flaw is a twisted section of the blade on the handle end that reduces the blade's usable length from 17" to 12". I'm not sure what the twisted part's purpose is, as the stainless steel's heavy gauge and rigidity renders it useless while drastically reducing functionality. As I previously stated, this is the best skewer I've come across, but it would be perfect if the twist could be reduced or eliminated.
I haven't tried them yet, but they appear to be satisfactory. When I apply pressure to both ends, they give a little, but I believe they will hold up for typical home bbq use. The tips aren't all cut the same, as another reviewer pointed out, but I don't find this to be a problem. The black grease/dust on about half of them was one thing that bothered me a little. I'm not sure what happened to these or if they were ever used. And one of them was a little twisted in the loop, but that wasn't a big deal because it was only one. It's a nice touch that they give you a bag to keep everything in. It isn't a particularly attractive bag, but it serves its purpose.
These were purchased to replace the small wooden skewers that I had previously used. These will work well on larger cuts of meat, such as beef, pork, and chicken, as the title suggests. They're too big for smaller items like shrimp and cut-up vegetables. vegetables are cleaned up To supplement these, I'll search for smaller stainless steel rod skewers and place an order.
These skewers are great; we used them to make regular kebabs and kofta kebabs, as well as vegetables, which require thicker skewers to stay in place. It's simple to clean them. Shrimp and other small items can be skewered on the smaller skewers.
I'm very pleased with them, and prefer them to the bamboo spikes. When I use bamboo, I always end up with a spike under my fingernail, but not these. We cook them on a grill over an open campfire, turning them over with long tongs before removing them and placing them on a serving tray/plate. You can safely handle the circular ends after allowing them to cool for a minute or two. Food slides on and off easily without the use of any sprays or oils. If you're using soft vegetables (such as mushrooms) or fruit (we always use pineapple), make sure the pieces are big enough to avoid breaking. For convenience, I prefer the longer skewers, but having a few shorter ones on hand is also beneficial. br>br>Cleanup is also simple. I don't mind that they're discolored from the fire. Food does not stick to the pan and can be removed with a soapy cloth in a camp sink. They can easily be stored in the storage sack once they have dried. They even have small plastic tips to keep you from being stabbed while reaching for them in storage, but I find the tips to be too much trouble. The storage sack is adequate because the metal skewers' tips are not sharp enough to cause injury, in my opinion. It's just sharp enough to help you load your food.
These skewers were advertised as stainless steel, but when I received them and tested them with a magnet, I discovered that they are not true stainless steel. a letdown.
They claim to be stainless steel, but we'll have to wait and see. br>They appear to be of good quality, and the flat design is appealing to me. Meatballs and shrimp go well with this sauce. Turning on the grill is a lot easier. It's also nice to have the extra length. br>I'm looking forward to using them more in the summer.
They are very sturdy (do not bend) and can hold about 2 lbs of meat, plus 3 lbs of other vegetables. On a single skewer, place sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms four times. They are, however, difficult to rotate. When I tried to flip them, I assumed that the flat part of the skewer would keep the stick from rotating; however, it did not. Sadly, even with actual meat and vegetables on the skewer, it still tends to be on the heavier side. Customer service, on the other hand, is fantastic in terms of responses and was a pleasure to speak with about problems.
