Although it appears to be made of 430 stainless steel, it is VERY WELL DONE! The 16 gauge 430 steel is superior to the 20 or even 18 gauge 304 steel.
I'm not sure what grade they are, but they are something I would buy again. They resemble Weber flavorizer bars in appearance.
Stainless Steel Flavorizer Bars for Weber Genesis I - Stanbroil IV & 1000- Platinum I (5000 points) II and More, Weber 7538 9813 Replacement Parts, Set of 13 (5 pcs 23- 8 pcs 15-inch 3/8" 7/8")
The thickness of the material was more of a concern for me. This is my second set, the first being a little thinner! I didn't care about the height because I have a tool that allows me to groove the longer bar if the lower one is too high! These bars are a lot thicker than the ones before them!

Naturally, I didn't realize until after I'd installed them all that this was the case! I re- I looked around and found these for nearly the same price, and they claimed to be 16Ga, which is a significant upgrade. br>br>Having been duped before, I took one out and measured it first, and my micrometer revealed that they were both 0. 061, which is a genuine 16-gauge wire. The bars arrived individually wrapped in plastic bags, bundled within a plastic bag, and in perfect condition, looking far too nice to install in my grill! In my old Weber 2000, it fit perfectly. The corners were not rounded, but the edges were not sharp. br>br>Overall, I couldn't be more pleased.
The gauge (metal thickness) of these replacement bars has been praised in previous reviews, and it's one of the main reasons I decided to buy them. This is the fourth set of replacement parts for my Weber gas grill, which is 30 years old. The OE was made of porcelain. When the first set of porcelain steel bars failed due to my ignorance, I replaced them with OE porcelain steel bars. They didn't last nearly as long as the first. The third set I bought was stainless steel, and it lasted nearly indefinitely. But not quite; I decided on this most recent rebuild after comparing the cost of replacing the failing burners, collapsing bars, and sporadic ignitor for $70 versus almost $1000 for a new replacement Weber grille (which I would NEVER buy). br>The rebuild went smoothly, but I noticed that the new bars didn't quite fit into the old flavorizer bar mounts. The foundations were quite small. The OE bars are bent at a 75-degree angle, but these HD replacements are bent at a 65-degree angle, making them taller. It's not a big deal, but the upper level of bars now rests on the lower level. The manufacturer could easily correct this by making a minor change to their stamping dies. I'm not sure why they chose to deviate from the OE specifications. Anyway . These are of excellent quality and are reasonably priced. With this deviation, I don't see why they shouldn't be able to perform as well. Is it something I would purchase again? Oh yeah!.
This is a Weber Gold Genesis (2000-2005) option. Despite the fact that it was designed for a Weber Genesis Platinum, it was released in 2001. WGG flavorizers are hard to come by and usually quite expensive; this set is thick gauge ss, and its overall cross-section is The depth of the hatch is the same as the depth of a WGG single layer bar, and it's reasonably priced. I'm hoping it'll stick around for a while!.
These Flavorizer bars were an exact match for the rotted out Weber Flavorizer bars. I paid special attention to the material's thickness. There are thinner bars available for purchase, but these are the thickest I could find. They were made to go together. My purchase has made me extremely happy.
These are for my Weber Genesis 5000, which is 25 years old. They fit perfectly and appear to be made of high-quality steel. The heat has been evenly distributed once more, and only time will tell how long they will last.
It's thick and of good quality. I've purchased a variety of brands, and the majority of them are thinner than advertised. Stanbtoil does exactly what it says on the tin.
Well made thick and great fit, drops right in (unless the grill isn't clean from all the grime), mine fit perfectly and I've been using it ever since. I would highly recommend it and would buy it again in a heartbeat if I needed another grill.
These gave my old Weber a new lease on life.
