The King Kong that was manufactured in the 1990's should be specifically designed for the Weber Performer grills.

When it gets really windy, it doesn't work well at all. On my covered back porch, I store my Weber Spirit II. In the wind one night, my cover was ripped off, but fortunately it was still in my yard. The grill was just put on it last weekend, and it seems like a great material that will work well. Outside, the pouch is made from rubbery material, then the inside is lined with thick, softer It was extremely easy to cinch it around the sides of the grill using the Velcro straps. As you can see in the picture, it covers the metal pretty well up to ground level. This is a nice feature to help keep the metal protected from damage caused by the winter. I'll have to let you know if it doesn't work as well as it seems it will in the spring. We are pleased with the situation for now. I expected it to be similar to that. For the time being, it fits my Weber Genesis Gold B grill perfectly and the material looks sturdy and well-made. However, I reserve the right to edit my review after a period of By the way, throughout the years, my experience has shown that the weakest point of these grill covers is where they connect with the right edge of the grill (on my grill, this is where the scraper/brush tools are hung). It tends to poke a hole in the cover at the end of this part. The problem is not the cover itself, but rather something Weber did wrong in the design. The edge of the grill (a sharp part of the tool holder) has been taped to prevent damage to the tooth. After using a piece of hot water pipe foam insulation over this part of the grill, I managed to prevent a hole from getting poked through the cover.
