Blackstone covers are only good for a few years no matter how heavy duty they are. If this is a real Blackstone cover and not a knockoff, the price is very reasonable. You'll keep out the weather and avoid rusting and ruining your griddle if you do that.

I purchased a 22-inch Blackstone griddle. Luckily I found one that does everything I need, since I couldn't find one for a 22-inch griddle. A griddle as well as the extension to the table stand is covered there.
To keep your griddle free of airborne debris and animals wandering on it, this cover works like it was intended, to keep your cooking surface clean. The rain is NOT the problem! Considering the rusting of some cooking surfaces, I understand why some owners complain about them. My Blackstone is my favorite piece of travel gear, but I would think the manufacturer would require a cover designed to protect their product would actually do that. Unlike my cooking surface, which has a beautiful black sheen, the rust has done no lasting damage to it apart from a temporary grunge.
It fit perfectly and had a waterproof coating. This strap has buckles at each end that are long enough to wrap around the legs and keep it securely in place on the legs. Actually, the griddle is made for a 28" griddle, but it can also fit the 17" on a folding table that is made for either the 17 or 22" griddle. It should fit the table with the 22" as well, as I'm sure it will.
The griddle I own is much larger, so it wouldn't fit this. While I did not inspect the suggestion from Amazon when I added the griddle to my cart, this was an add-on that was suggested for the griddle so I did not realize that it was too small, but I did send it back and ordered the right Since that one was the same as this one only larger, it was well worth the cost. This is not one of those cheap covers that you'll have to replace after a few years, these are heavy duty, custom made for the griddles and are great to use. A great buy. The clips on the bottom hold everything in place, haven't let water in so far, and hasn't let water get thru.
I love the fit of this cover, but it pools water on top of it. The top of my grill was rusting badly, and I was really worried. There's a canopy on my porch that keeps the rain out, but when there's a bad storm, water blows in. To prevent any water from getting in, I put the bottom of a dog crate over the griddle top prior to placing this cover on. There is nothing I love more than this metal cover that fits so perfectly on my griddle top. Because the cover also protects the tent, I feel doubly assured that water will not get in.
While it looks nice and seems durable, the cover does not prevent rain from getting on the grill top, which is one of the reasons I bought it. Even if adding 20 bucks more to the overall cost, I'm totally shocked that they don't include the blackstone griddle as well. The stupid one that comes with the blacktop is horrible (shame on you). Actually, there is no way to fully protect your griddle without doing routine maintenance, like heating it up and burning off the sediment/rust from the elements, so you should do it on a weekly basis at the very least. My opinion, however, is that this is the most durable cover you can get. -It's highly resistant to cold, hot, humid, and wet conditions to protect your blacktop. -It has a composite undercoating that really stands up to hot, cold, humid, and wet environments.
