They've done an excellent job of distributing heat. My grill is 15"x25" and I used all of the briquettes when making coverage decisions. So, if you have a grill with a surface area of 375" square or less, one box will suffice. Cheers!.
What I didn't like was that Lowe's, Home Depot, Walmart, and Bar B Q Galore didn't carry this product, instead offering only Lava Rock, or should I say dust and pebbles, some large pieces that don't fall through the grates, and these tiles, which I haven't used and can't comment on. So I went to Amazon and BAM, there they were, big as life, and the order was placed, confirmed, and on its way to me faster than I could remember my password. I should also mention that after covering the burners on the grates and leaving at least a quarter-inch between each piece, I still have ten pieces leftover. Now, I've used this product before, and after years of use and cleaning, I couldn't find them anywhere, so I turned to Lava, as I've already mentioned. Well, the new briquettes arrived this morning, so I set about completely dismantling my Bar BQ, cleaning it thoroughly, installing a brand new H style burner with a new ignitor, connecting the gas, and presto, I have fire; after about 1/2 hour, turn off the burner, and the radiant heat is proof of the product's efficiency. Keep in mind that you will need to clean them on a regular basis. Simply flip them over and turn on the burners, allowing the flame to do its work, and the briquettes will be cleaned to a satisfactory level. After allowing them to cool naturally, flip them over and you're ready to go. Bring on the steaks, chicken, fish, and whatever else you want. You have re-entered the workforce.
My only gripe is that I didn't get enough to cover my 27" Lynx BBQ completely. The Amazon product description is incorrect. The seller claims that the package contains 60 Briquettes (and the item's photo on Amazon confirms that the box contains 60 briquettes - However, the box I received only has 50 briquettes in it, and the printed box says "50. " (Photos are available. ) The product description on the seller's website should be updated to accurately reflect the product that will be delivered.
My great aunt gave me a used grill as a gift. The briquettes were toast, and the majority of them had vanished. After a few grilling sessions, I noticed that my food wasn't cooking evenly and that the grill wasn't getting hot enough to reach 500 degrees. br>br>As a result, I purchased these. I cleaned the grill and removed the old briquettes before replacing them with these. My chicken was cooked to perfection, and the grill reached a temperature of 700°F. Quite a leap forward! br>br>The box comes with 50 briquettes, which was plenty for my needs. Because I have a small dome style grill, I used about 12 of them.
These were purchased to add flavor to a Char-grilled steak. Electric kettle grill with a broil setting. After the grill has been preheated, fats and oils dripping onto these bricks produce a smokey vapor that mimics the flavor of a charcoal grill, but without the charcoal. I bought a Weber 7439 Replacement Charcoal Grate, 10 to make this work in my electric kettle. 50" W x 50" H x 50" W x 50" W x 50" W x 50" W x 50" W x 50" W x 50 It doesn't get any easier than this, and lava rocks have better uniformity.
First and foremost, the briquettes work well and are a good value. My only complaint is that they are a little thinner than the others here, which is my fault for not paying attention to the size; I'm using them to replace the thicker original briquettes that came with my grill. They are intended to replace lava rock, which I believe they will do fine, and the packaging, which consisted of boxes within boxes within shipping boxes, kept them in good condition with no broken pieces. So far, all I've noticed is that I'm getting a few more flamups, but nothing out of the ordinary. I must say that not purchasing the grill manufacturer saved me a lot of money. substitutes!.
I was a little hesitant to order these briquettes after reading another reviewer's complaint that they arrived crumbled and broken. These are exactly what I needed in terms of quality and quantity. There were approximately 50 briquettes in total, all of which were usable. I could probably grill about 6 hamburgers at a time on my small grill, and I still have a handful of briquettes left over after setting up the briquettes. I can't speak to heat distribution or flare-ups because it's been a rainy spring, but I'm confident these will perform admirably.
These are some lovely brickets. On the bottoms of four of the pieces, there were expansion cracks. Even if they break, they will most likely work fine. Their purpose is to cool the flames, and while they can still withstand heat, it would detract from their appearance. They should, however, function normally.
