As good as, if not better than, the Big Green Egg, and at the best price I've seen for a high-end komado. I can easily cook 6 large ribeyes at a time, and the fold-out tables on the side are the perfect size. Have a friend ready to assist with unpacking on delivery day, as this thing is extremely heavy. The rolling stand is of excellent quality and can be put together in under 5 minutes.
When I pushed the lock again, one of the castors broke. The seller was wonderful and went out of his way to assist us. The designers of the grill appear to have had the best of intentions. Since the publication of the instruction manual, some improvements have been made. It appears that they welded some of the places where bolts were previously required. It's a shame about the paint quality. For this price range, I had hoped for more. The grill is extremely effective. It's a monster. It smokes well at both low and high temperatures and retains heat well. Lump hardwoods are what I use for grilling and smoking, and they seem to work well. Also, the grate came with instructions to avoid cracking the porcelain, but it arrived cracked, and the tool they give you to pick it up cracks it even more every time you use it, so there are some flaws. That's all I have to say about it. I hope it lasts. It's worth noting that the firebowl and grill are both thick and heavy-duty. That section appears to be fantastic and well-constructed. Yes, there is a junior beside it.
We went from never grilling to almost every weekend grilling. It was simple to put together (though you will undoubtedly need three people).
The grill is fantastic. I've never seen such a good deal on a ceramic grill/smoker.
That process turned into a nightmare when I had to drive to their loading docks to pick it up because neither my wife nor I could work out our schedules to meet their delivery requirements, and then they missed the delivery date we agreed on after a week of negotiating. I brought it home, assembled it, and began grilling to familiarize myself with it after using a gas grill. The kamado is extremely efficient at burning coal and is well-built.
It's fantastic- It's fantastic!.
It was the simplest grill assembly I've ever seen, with only four nuts and bolts. It's well-made and cooks up beautifully.
