In order for my problem to be solved, I needed this kindling. We were unable to find kindling locally, but it burns very well, and it burns long enough to start a good fire in our fireplace insert. We have good hardwoods and matches, but I was unable to find You couldn't ask for a better find than this kindling! With fatwood I had finally bought (I find both sizes to be quite useful), and ZIP fire starters, my latest great discovery, I use it as a combination. The ZIP fire starter does not go on until I have arranged fatwood and kindling around it, since it ignites fast! Now, it is easy to build a fire. This is a product line I intend to use for a long time.
Thanks, *br> *br> good to hear from you An oven with a wood fire may work well with this system. It is possible that you will need to add more wood due to the smaller size of these kindling sticks, but this kindling would help the fire burn hotter.
Breakable by hand but not easily
*br>The kindling sticks come in fairly small sizes, but are feathered, so maybe they could be used as kindling. Because they are kiln dried, they light up nearly automatically without the need to feather the leaves. By making this purchase, you're adding time to your life as well. Thank you for your interest in our product.

The negative reviews are from people who have no idea how to build a fire and somehow think that a match or lighter will be able to create the desired fire. Those people out there think it's like a duraflame or some other toxic garbage. In my opinion, this is excellent kindling and works very well if you know how to build a fire. If you don't know how to do it, you can look up YouTube or something so you can learn how to do These suckers, when used properly with some fat wood or something else that will easily take a flame, will act as the secondary kindling. When you ignite the fire with some fatwood or paper, the suckers will catch the flame, making your fire far more intense and hot than before. There is no magic to fire, it is a science. So it's not the fault of the manufacturer if you don't know what you are doing with fire. Learn how to build one before you complain about it. Then, you're going to be able to write good reviews. I'm sorry for my rant, but it's so typical that people who don't know what they are doing write bad It takes 30 years to perfect building a fire, but I have been doing it for thirty years. Multiple types of kindling are needed, each slightly larger than the last, in order to allow the fire to catch them all at once. If you have a fire, you can then add slightly larger pieces to it until you have a nice base (hot coals). Lighting them with a match and somehow thinking that will suffice isn't at all as simple as you might think.
Recipe- 1) crude oil. This cedar kindling is 2) a neat example. 1) larger kindling (twice the size of these guys) 2) small/ medium pieces of wood 3) once the fire is up and running, you add the larger pieces and maintain them It has to do with physics.
After I was satisfied with the box last year, I chose to buy another one. That's not the same as this. The size of a piece is a sliver (see photo). Therefore, the required number of pieces is exponentially more. Using the following metrics as a comparison The pieces from last year and this year (side by side).
This material was the right size for use as kindling in my insert.
Not so great, I didn't get more than a cubic foot of According to the dimensions of the box, it should be 12" x 12" x 12". There are approximately half of the boxes missing. A quick update It was a quick response from the seller when I contacted them. The plan is to send me another box in the near future. Because they did that, they received a higher rating Only when things go wrong do you find out how good both the company and the employee are. I'm happy with how things have gone so far!.
One cubic foot of hardwood slats were included in the box, as per the description. The size of the pieces is approximately 12" long by 1" wide. There is a 25" thick layer. Because I'm going to use it to burn wood in a stove, it's perfect for me. small handful of these hardwood slats, along with a couple of fatwood chunks, are the best way to start the stove As I add more firewood, I gradually increase the size of the pieces. Considering the cost of the kindling is $40, it will be interesting to see how long it will last. The convenience will be well worth it if I get this box to last me a full winter.
In spite of that, as other reviewers have noted, it sparks quite a lot of conversation! They are great to use in a wood stove because I can close the door to prevent sparks. The sparks it gives off are much greater than those of While I will continue to use, it never seems to spark as much as it does now.
Regarding concerns I read over this product not burning hot enough or causing excessive smoke, I would like to share my thoughts. The reasons stated above made me hesitate to purchase and use the product in my fireplace when I read these concerns. As far as I could tell, neither of these concerns was present after I used the kindling. I found the kindling to be effective as it should be. My opinion of the product is very positive. I will buy from this retailer.
It It is the same product that we have purchased twice before and been highly satisfied with. However, the product now comes in thin strips of unknown wood, and not red cedar as described. This product has made me very unhappy.
The wood-burning insert we run is used in homes and offices When the weather is cold, we keep a stove in our family room. Usually we burn oak logs seasoned in the sun for fires, and we Since the large logs take a long time to get going, we keep the stove door ajar for a while so that they can catch some air. If six sticks of kindling are added, the stove door can be closed and the fire can be lit swiftly. I find that much.
