This is a sine wave inverter in its purest form. br>Because the centech Harbor Freight 750 watt is a modified sine wave, it will harm LCD televisions, microwave ovens with sensitive electronic components, and refrigerators. The 2000 W renogy pure sine wave inverter, for example, is an excellent choice for most appliances, with plenty of wattage left over for other electrics. and I would suggest it.
Designed to be used with hardwired outlets. However, you should try to ground it (the inverter unit itself with an 8-volt battery). 10 AWG wire) to the chassis for safety**as well as to reduce frequency noise for televisions and sound systems.
For me, it works perfectly. Running a 700W inverter off of a 50ah lithium battery charged by a 100W Eclipse suitcase panel(all Renogy products) 24/7 with no issues; the only issue I could see would be certain chargers with higher voltage charging profiles tripping the inverter if you tried to charge the battery while using the inverter at the same time. It's not an issue with solar, at least not in my case; however, if I hook the battery to a 110V quick charger while
There are other 24v input models available, but not this one.

DOA. When I turned on the power, it was bricked. Junk from China. In my motorhome, I needed an inverter for the a/c refrigerator. I was looking for one that had a low idle current draw and didn't have a display or GFCI. This one met my requirements, was reasonably priced, and I'd previously used Renogy solar equipment, so I went with that. Wrong. When I applied 12 volts to this inverter, it bricked. According to the instructions, it was grounded and the power was turned off. Nothing is working, there are no lights, no output, and nothing is working. Without a doubt, these are poor capacitors. After a few months, I had the same problem with a cheap Harbor Freight inverter. It appears that the Chinese have figured out how to make things stop working in an instant. It will not be returned to Amazon Prime. I'm being forced to use Renogy. I'm sick of Amazon's poor customer service and shoddy product guarantees.
The entire box is torqued due to a manufacturing defect. An electrician was hired to complete the installation. Ground faults occur on a regular basis. The customer service is a disaster. You wait on hold for an hour or more and never get through because the number of people on hold is never less than 25. The website instructs you to send an email requesting a callback; you do so, and they respond - After 3 days, I'm telling you to give me a call. I'm returning this item and replacing it with one from a different manufacturer.
My voltage is perfect, and my wires and fuses are all the right size. I contacted Renogy for assistance and thoroughly described the problem. They responded by requesting some information that I had already provided in my initial email. It was a new person emailing me back every time I answered an email or ran a test that they wanted me to try, and I can't tell you how many times I answered the same question that someone else had already asked. Renogy has not responded to my email for the fourth day in a row. They're a garbage company, with garbage products and garbage customer service. I strongly advise you to look for your solar and electrical needs elsewhere. br>br>I had the same issue with their customer service when I ordered an MPPT controller from them.
This product appears to be of excellent quality. The casing is lovely, but it was dead when I got it. A refund was requested after the item was returned.
For off-grid ebiking, I purchased this Renogy inverter to pair with my ebike battery charger. My truck camper battery is wired into the inverter. From the beginning, the inverter's AC output voltage surged, causing the battery charger to surge (fail). On AC household current, the ebike battery charger performs flawlessly. For the past four weeks, I've been in contact with Renogy's "Customer Service. " I started with Amazon customer service, but I was out of luck with them because I didn't install the inverter and discover the fault on the new inverter within their 30-day "return window," and there were no exceptions! It's been a long fight to get this inverter repaired or replaced at Renogy. Amazon and Renogy have some 'Customer Service'! In the retail industry, this is not a good way to get repeat customers.
This is NOT the Renogy model with the energy-saving feature. More than $700 for the model with power save. The product description on Amazon contains a significant error. The error can be found by searching the Renogy website. IF YOU NEEDED POWER SAVE MODE, DO NOT BUY THIS ONE!.
worked. I was blown away, but when I tried to put it to the test, it failed miserably. Every few seconds, it began to reboot. br>The customer service was terrible. The following day, I returned it.
Renogy LiFePo4 batteries are one of my favorites. It's infuriating, however, to be sold a clearly repackaged and defective Inverter that was advertised as new. The unit had intermittent ground faults, which were accompanied by loud pops, internal sparks, and a burning odor. I'm going to stick with Meanwell inverters because they're dependable. They are manufactured in Taiwan rather than China. There is a MTBF rating for them. You get what you pay for, just like everything else.
