My shed is where I keep 2 motorcycles as well as my extra batteries. This charger goes there. The solar charger was connected to all three batteries along with some additional wires and a charging system was rigged up. When I checked the charge on the batteries a couple of days later, it had risen. It helps to know how much voltage they have (after a few weeks) and that they are even higher than I have ever seen them. In my building, I use a solar unit to provide electricity. Powered by a 12v car battery, the water pump runs on 12 volts. To charge the battery, I use this small solar panel. This works well for small jobs, but if I had a pump that was constantly running, I doubt that this size of panel would charge that fast. That being said, I bought this based on what I knew would work, and it hasn't let me down. I've left it outside for several months because it is made of aluminum and has an aluminum frame. I used the quick disconnect to move the battery and charger into the garage now that it is winter. If I had to I would have left it out during the winter. I just didn't pick up the box in the course of the winter.

This mount was very easy to use and had a wonderful mount. My battery is kept charged with plenty of power. My plan is to install motion sensing lights, therefore I bought the 30 amp. The same post where my gate hangs will also be the place where I mount a camera. To be safe, I like to have more amps than I need just in case I buy something else in the future.

It was my pleasure to review this product after putting it off for a year, and I'm happy to report that it is performing as advertised in a coastal setting. The adjustable stand where salt spray pools and water pools is beginning to show signs of light rust. The painting has been repainted with cold galvanize to see whether it can still stop.
