Better than the plastic bag I was using to keep the rain off of my Honda generator while it's in the back of my pickup truck. I have updated This cover is in good condition after a couple of RV trips in the back of my pickup with the generator exposed to rain, rocked around against the side of the bed and other things in the bed, as well as severe air tubulence in the bed (at 60 mph). There are very few signs of wear in fact. As a result of something I did in my garage, I need to dust off the cover before loading the generator and the dust comes off easily after I dust it off. The handle of the generator is too heavy for me to carry very far by myself as I am a big guy nowadays, but I used to be much stronger. There is a chest of cereal in the pickup's tailgate that needs to be placed on a shelf in the garage and in my arms. Though I was afraid the cover might slip off, I find it's on tightly enough that it doesn't slip off, provided I grab at the bottom edge (as I would have to anyway to prevent the 46 lb generator from falling). IMPORTANT NOTE In this case, the cover fits perfectly on the Honda 2000 generator. My generator does not fit or perform well on other machines.
I was surprised by how strong the elastic band around the bottom was. The plastic of the generator is rather slippery, so it takes a bit of convincing to start the cover. I could not be happier with the fit on my EU2000i. I love my generator, but I keep it in my garage closet 360 days a year, so it is fairly pricey for it to be this reliable.
