It has 8600 surge watts. The generator is a Craftsman 5600 watt model. The 7500 watt rating of this cord raises this concern would the surge wattage exceed the rated wattage?

A 220V 30 amp extension is made for connection to a 220V 30 amp service. I use it to connect the generator to my main breakers via a A continuous power use of 6600 watts is achievable with a 220 volt / 30 amp service. The reason I don't see a problem is that 8600 is a starting watt figure where continuous output is 5600.

I'm not quite sure, but I think the wire is either 1 or 0 gauge

Based on the fact that you will be using it for 240V output, then Multiplying the voltage (240) by the amps (30) yields 7200 watts in reality. It would be possible to use a short burst of this power even up to 9500 watts.

It's a cable after all. It doesn't matter. HOWEVER, why is it an entirely different item between the one pictured in the listing and the one advertised? The “description” of the product doesn't mention anything about a cable at all, just a love letter to a "welder" as though the seller didn't bother to make sure the listing was accurate The company is in trouble. I see it has fallen and it isn't able to stand.

The quality and durability of the product will still depend on the manufacturer country. There appears to have been an end to the forced shipping foulups! Exactly what I wanted, received in a timely manner, and at an excellent price (albeit slightly more than in advance There's a pandemic, but how can it not be?.

The cable is fat and nice. This is 10GA- I needed a stamped Chinese cord with 4 conductors that fit I was able to plug in the plug According to the quality, this is a good product. Same as the main item picture at the top of this page, mine had black cords with yellow plugs.

Being that it's a bit less expensive than some name brands, I was worried it would be of low quality. I do not believe this is the case after receiving it. I believe that this is a very well-made product and that all the measurements are correct.
