Questions & Answers
Mosquitoes cannot enter because the mesh netting hole spacing is too small. The netting, on the other hand, is extremely difficult to keep in place.
It can be used on anything that fits it; I have it on a 32 gallon trash can that I converted into a rain barrel.

The drawstring was too loose, so I used a piece of black elastic cord I had on hand for sewing face masks (also available on Amazon, "Elastic Bands for Sewing 1/8 Inch 10 Yards Black Elastic String Cord Bands Rope for Sewing Crafts DIY (1/8 inch 10 Yards Black), by Bodrum Wooden") to tie around the bucket's lip. I simply cut the mesh to fit the bucket and wrapped the elastic cord around it, which worked perfectly. It lets water in while keeping mosquitoes out and preventing their eggs from being laid in the water.
The cover is fantastic! There are no mosquitoes or debris! I've had it over my water barrel for a month and have yet to see a single mosquito! EACH PENNY IS WORTH IT.
However, the barrel is a little loose. This will certainly keep bugs and debris out, but the rope clasp is a little loose and doesn't quite fit over the barrel. I might bungie cord it on if it has trouble staying on my barrel.
I would suggest it!.
Despite using a first-flow diverter with a screen and a built-in screen in my barrel, the water contained particles. I added this product and my water is now crystal clear every time; I will never use a barrel again without it.
The mesh could be thicker, in my opinion. To keep it in place, I'll need to use an extra cord. My order hasn't arrived yet, but I'm pleased with it.
The drawstring rucks right under the tote's lip, which I'm using on an 18 gallon tote. It keeps mosquitoes at bay and debris out of my drinking water. My sole recommendation is to purchase the $14 two-pack. For an extra $5, having a backup is well worth it!.
The mesh screen is nice in and of itself. br>However, the cord used to tighten around the barrel must be nylon because it slides off when tightened. Tightening is extremely difficult. It also doesn't stay in the vicinity of the barrel. As the mesh falls into the barrel, it continues to slide up.
