It wasn't bad, but there was an issue with it
3/5

I bought two of these and stacked them before filling them. I needed to move them less than a year later, so I drained them and found a problem. The bottom of the tank on top had bulged downwards, as had the top of the tank on bottom. The bottom tank's vent was forced open, and water was forced out. Stacking is impossible due to the flimsy nature of the material. If I hadn't needed to move them, I would have missed it. They appear to be excellent in all other respects. If you're not stacking them, I believe they'll be fine. I suggest placing the tanks on a three-inch platform so you can easily access the faucet and turn on or off the hose. I'm looking for a couple more tanks that I can stack or one tall tank, but I'm not going to buy any more from this company.

Consider using a different container if you need airtight storage
3/5

The lid of this water storage tank is vented. There is a spring in the vent. To keep it shut, it must be fully loaded. According to WaterPrepared, its purpose is to make draining water from the tank with the built-in spigot easier. The vent is unnecessary because loosening the cap accomplishes the same result. br>It is my understanding that long-term storage of water preserved with a water preserver (at least 5 years) necessitates the use of an airtight container. The tank's cap has a vent that allows air to flow in and out from the top and bottom. The pressure in the tank will change as the temperature changes, allowing the tank to "breathe" and expose itself to the atmosphere. In a nutshell, it isn't completely sealed. Advantages: br>br> In comparison to a water storage drum, the wide 5" opening allows you to see the water level while filling it. br>Because of its shape, it can be stored much closer to the wall than a standard drum. You don't need to use a pump to get water because there's a built-in spigot. br>Tanks can be stacked up to two high. high in order to save space on the floor br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a few drawbacks to this strategy. Most importantly, it isn't completely airtight. Unlike a drum, which requires a bung wrench, the wide opening cap can be opened without the use of a tool. The tank should be kept in a safe place where no one can open it and put something in it that isn't supposed to be there. To keep it clean, the spigot should come with a hose end cap, which can be found on Amazon. The tanks, according to WaterPrepared's website, are made of FDA-approved food-grade plastic. materials of a high standard None of the standard symbols for these qualities were embossed on the tanks, as far as I could tell.

It is well-made
4/5

This water storage container is well-made and durable. This will be extremely useful if and when the earthquake occurs. br>br>The four-star rating is due to: When I first opened the cap, I noticed a strong, plastic-like substance. the odor of a chemical Nothing I'd want to keep water in, so I wrapped it in cheese cloth and set it out in the sun - It's been ten days now, but the odor is almost completely gone. I wish they'd leave them out for a month before selling them - Alternatively, you can use a commercial washer to clean them.

It was installed about 6 weeks ago and has been leaking and is defective
3/5

Today I checked on it and discovered that it's almost empty; it's been leaking for some time, most likely from the pre-fabrication process. Spigot was installed. Furious. I'm about to contact the creators to see if they stand behind their product or if they'll give me the cold shoulder. br>br>I'll keep this page updated as well as others.

Thank you so much
5/5

Dollar- for- Right now, a dollar is the best deal available. Heavy-duty plastic has been used to construct the container. I've had no leaks in almost a year of storing water. My only recommendation to a customer is to angle the valve 45 degrees to the left or right, away from the ground. This will make connecting a hose for remote draining much easier. If the container is sitting on the floor, a straight valve rather than an angled valve might be preferable. I'll most likely purchase another.

Great customer service, and the instructions on not overtightening were very clear
5/5

It leaked because I followed the instructions to a tee. I guess I needed to tighten it up a little more. I communicated with a representative from the company via email and phone, and they were extremely helpful. I had no leaking issues after tightening the bolts even more with a wrench. What struck me as particularly impressive was the willingness of customer service to go above and beyond to assist me. And I have a feeling that if there had been a problem, they would have replaced it without hesitation. Excellent style.
