After looking at the Clyde's Garden Planner I got in the mail today, I am ready to go. What a great idea! The spring planting is on one side, while the fall planting is on the other. There's some neat features how this is designed to let you know when to start planting stuff and what to expect during your typical freeze. This plant grouping system is very neat. I like the requirements on spacing, sunlight, and how close the plants can be grouped.
In order to figure out the date for each plant, I looked up back dates for the plants relevant to my zone and figured out every date by hand. There is one problem, however. On one line, I have calculated the average last frost in my area, and on the other, I have shown which are the best times to plant several different types of The ones it did not show were easily extrapolated from the ones that it did show. A brassica is a type of cabbage related to broccoli, for example. It even had a spot where it showed indoor and outdoor starting times.
Thank you! I am glad I bought.
W. Michigan area. A year's worth of food for us is grown in nearly an acre of land. Three adults and three children can eat the vegetables produced there. All throughout the growing season, we also provide bedding plants and vegetables for free. With this handy gadget, you can . . . We were more than happy with the results! While I have been gardening for over 20 years, it taught me a few things even though I've been doing it for so long. I am grateful for your time and consideration,.
If only I had learned about this useful tool years ago when I was just starting out as a Nevertheless, finding out the planting dates for my few herbs and tomatoes is incredibly helpful. There should have been a separate sheet with the dates of the first and last frosts for each area, included in the slide. You may find the paper list difficult to keep up with. The slide is easy to use, but you may want to consult your local agricultural agent for your community's specific average date of the last/first freeze. There are only 4 cities listed in Florida, and none are in my area, which is quite different from the ones I'm closer to Mobile, but it's near a bay/gulf, and it's also different from what I'm used to. Get a lot for your money with this $5 deal!.
Since it is heavy cardstock type paper, it will need to be protected from getting wet or dirty. intend to plan & prepare I keep track of what I plant or sow before I sow or plant, so keeping it clean isn't Upon finding Clyde's YouTube channel, I located two videos explaining how to use his chart. I found the video intended for retailers to be more helpful than the video directed at home gardeners since Clyde speaks more slowly in the video and explains things more clearly.
I highly recommend this gardening tool. It is excellent. This is a well organized, easy to use site. It was very quick to arrive. The price is well worth it. This is my first time gardening so I am following these instructions as I plant my seeds.
Because of weather variation and pests and such, my garden has been slow to produce whereas this calendar says we were harvesting a week ago. I enjoyed the fact that it gave me a good time schedule so that I knew what to expect even though the potatoes weren't ready at the exact time it said they would.
