These are the ideal size for a window sill, and they are exactly what I was looking for. I've had my cilantro, oregano, and thyme in them for about two weeks now and haven't had any issues. People who have complained about overwatering in previous reviews should simply stop filling up the bottom. I don't use the "self watering" spout; instead, I water them from the top, let them drain, and then replace it on the container to avoid excess water sitting underneath it. 10/10.
Because my kitchen's sill is only 3, this is the ideal planter for me. 5 inches wide. These are 3 inches wide on the bottom and 4 inches wide on the top, but they work in my situation. br>br>One thing to keep in mind is that these will keep the plants moist. As a result, be selective about the plants you put in them. My basil, for example, enjoys it, but the snake plant did not, and had to be relocated to a pot that dries out better. br>br>Another thing to keep in mind is that because this is so effective at keeping the soil moist, I quickly developed fungus gnats, so I highly recommend adding a layer of sand or something similar to the top to help it dry out. br>br>Apart from that, the pots are very nice and exactly as described. They are not suitable for plants that require a well-drained environment because they are made of plastic rather than Terra cotta. As a result, be selective when selecting your plants.
They're exactly what the description says they're going to be. I love how they fit perfectly on my windowsill, and I used a water bottle to demonstrate the size. They did a fantastic job with my herbs. In some of them, I transplanted basil, while in others, I'm starting with seedlings. They appear to work well in both directions (though some of my basil roots were quite long and reached the bottom of the pot). I have no intention of using the self-service kiosk. I haven't tried watering as a sole method of watering, so I can't comment on its effectiveness. They're great, and I'd buy them again!.
The window in the lower section is ideal for checking the water level, and the top section has a convenient port for filling the lower section with water. br>In order to avoid spilling, I purchased a small watering can with a spout that fits perfectly in the port.
These planters are perfect for my herb garden in my kitchen. I had never used a wick system before, but my herbs seem to like it and are still going strong.
These are fantastic; I adore the way they look and how simple it is for them to self-water or be watered. This is my first time growing microgreens, and the containers really help them stand out.
I use these watering containers to grow my herbs, and I don't have to worry about them when I go away for a few days.
Finally, a rectangular planter that is the perfect size for our kitchen windowsill! In addition, self-awareness This includes watering, which is a huge plus! This purchase has exceeded my expectations!.
