but. These were exactly what I was looking for. They're sturdy, stylish, and perfectly support the planter. I like that the measurements were given in the listing. br>br>However, due to some minor design/manufacturing issues, I've deducted one star: both brackets were significantly out of square in the lateral dimension, as you can see in the photos. It's not something you notice when the planter is on them, but it does point to a quality control problem. Furthermore, the top screw hole passes through a beveled portion of the bracket, causing it to not sit flush when fully inserted. br>br>Again, neither of these are major issues, and I'm satisfied with my purchase, but if you're the type to pick nits, this information may be useful.

I didn't want an L bracket, so I went with something else. I needed a lip to keep the flower box from sliding off the table. There was no hardware included, which isn't a big deal for most people. Some were in my neighbor's house.

These flower box supports are strong, easy to install, and can withstand the weight of soil and flowers as bees buzz around in the warmer spring months. The mounts are made of iron and feature two mounting holes as well as an 8" wide box base. The height in front is 7 inches. The box can be as long as the width you specify; I chose 42" as the window width. Cement screws were used to secure the brackets in cinder block pilot holes. For the boxes, I ordered one set. When the weather permits, six boxes (along with six sets of brackets) will be erected.

This is the third time I've ordered brackets like this. The majority of the window box brackets we came across were cheap, flimsy stamped-metal brackets. Things made of steel with obnoxious silver hardware These are lovely, surprisingly heavy welded iron brackets that enhance rather than detract from the appearance of our house. They appear to be worth the money because they appear to last as long as the house. It keeps our (HD-purchased) cedar 36" window boxes from sagging or bending, despite the fact that they're quite heavy once they're filled with potting mix and plants.

It appears to be sturdy enough, but the horizontal elements are not horizontal as shown in the image. If the window box is flush at the bottom, it is leaning back toward the upright members because they are at an angle upwards. The window box is only supported on its front edge if it is flush with the upright members. This is strange to me.

There was a time when they were lagging behind. Tamao according to the instructions. I'm very happy because they're sturdy and the size I was looking for.

These are insufficiently strong. These were purchased at the same time as the window boxes. When I put it up (with the filled window box), one of them broke right away. This year, I took a second vacation. (I bought them the year before last. ) I would expect them to be able to support the weight of a fully loaded window box since they are sold as the correct brackets for these window boxes. That being said, I purchased four sets of two, and only two have broken so far, but I'm not confident that the rest will not break at some point. They look good and fit the window box properly, but they need to be stronger.

I used three to hold 10ft long x 8" x 8" flower boxes, but I could have easily gotten away with just two.
