br>br>In addition, the terrarium came with a free tiny owl, which made my day because owls are my favorite bird, and it quickly became the terrarium's focal point. br>br>I have no complaints about this product; it is of excellent quality and appears to be exactly as described!.
This is a fantastic little terrarium with a door (which even has a latch to keep it closed!). ) As previously stated, the seams are not water-resistant. tight, and if your planting medium is fine, it may escape. To keep the fine gravel/sand and other materials I'm using from escaping, I used a small amount of clear sealant along the bottom/lower seams. It's perfect for what I need because the seams aren't sealed and allow for some airflow and evaporation when I mist my air plant. If you're going to use a fine substrate in a situation where you need true drainage, I'd suggest putting a mesh or filter along the floor and bottom inch or so of the terrarium, and putting it on top of a saucer or other dish to catch any excess water or escaping planting media.
Keep an eye on the measurements. I didn't pay enough attention to the seller's pictures and measurements, which are accurate and helpful. 6 inches isn't a lot of space. This terrarium is quite small. I bought a terrarium kit to go with it as a gift, but the plants are too big for this container. I would have thought it was overpriced for what you get if I had realized how small this terrarium is (which was my fault, not the sellers'). Unless you use truly miniature plants, you won't be able to fit very much in here.
This terrarium planter is very nice. This was purchased with the intention of creating a small terrarium for my covered deck this summer. It's the perfect size, and the seller even threw in a small owl figurine (which I really like). I also need to mention that I bought a new (larger) terrarium planter from a nearby craft store. When I got it home, I was cleaning the windows and noticed gaps between the panes of glass. I had to use silicone to keep it sealed. I didn't have to do anything extra because this terrarium was completely sealed. This planter is of excellent quality. This seller is someone I would buy from again.
This terrarium is lovely, modern, and once you've finished your garden, it looks fantastic. In all of these reviews, there was one thing I didn't see: THIS IS NOT A WATERPROOF PRODUCT. THEY BREAK DOWN. I slowly poured in a small amount of water, and lo and behold, it drains quite well. This is not the terrarium for you if you want to add any amount of water to it; in fact, it's all over my bookcase. You'll love this if you're not planning on using any water. I deducted two stars for poor functionality, leaking, and the fact that their product is not watertight. There are several photos and reviews that show five or more succulents- They aren't big enough to hold that many people. I was able to fit three people comfortably. I'm even more annoyed because I spent $50 on two of them and now have to repot everything. Beautiful pieces, but not for a terrarium or anything that requires watering.
This was purchased with the intention of using it as a terrarium. It's a WORK OF ART! However, I'm concerned because I can hear the joints straining when I handle the product. That makes me worried about how long it will last, especially since it isn't completely sealed and will leak. I'm not sure I'd buy it again to use as a terrarium, no matter how lovely it is. If you're using fake plants or for some other decorative rather than functional purpose, it might be worth it.
This terrarium has a great look to it! There was plenty of room for other small accessories like rocks and charcoal in mine, which I have five succulents in. To fill that empty space, I used a Terrarium Succulent DIY kit. br>br>The only real complaint I have is that the glue makes the joints look a little cheap, but you can see that in the pictures they provided.
as expected in terms of quality and appearance The only difference is that there are small gaps between the glasses. I was worried that sands or water would leak out. And it did, though it wasn't a major problem as long as you didn't shake it or overwater it after planting, which you shouldn't do. br>br>For the price, it's a good product, and I'd recommend it.
