My front door screen is just a smidgeon smaller than the holes in the screen. To the naked eye, they appear to be identical. The material is plastic, and it's about the same thickness as the plastic replacement screens for doors that they sell, but it's not as thick as the metal ones.
They've already been cleaned. cutted. 100 pcs. (diameter: 2 inches)

These mesh pads appear to be quite durable, and this product offers excellent value for money, but I've discovered that the mesh isn't as fine as I'd like it to be, and soil particles continue to escape. These are what I use for my succulents, and some of the chicken grit will fall through. I tried doubling them, but they like to "stack," which means the holes still line up. br>br>Overall, I'm pleased with them; I especially like the container, but I'm thinking about switching to a cloth-like material.
Mesh pads, to be precise. I can't tear them with my bare hands, so they appear to be fairly tough. They'll just sit there and prevent potting medium from washing out of my pots' drainage holes. It isn't overly bulky or thick. And, at the time of my review, it was nearly twice as many mesh pot holes for a dollar less than other similar products on Amazon! In addition, there are small boxes in which they will be stored. br>br>I have a couple hundred houseplants in my collection, so I purchased a few packages. They're working well for the small batch of repottings I recently completed. For the next, I'm confident they'll be ideal. They appear to be re-usable, as well.
In the bottom of a plant pot, I've always been taught to put pebbles or small stones. This was done in order to prevent the roots from becoming pot-bound. Root rot has enslaved them. Using mesh pads instead of small stones or pebbles allows you to have more room in your pot for plant growth while transplanting less. The pads cover the hole in the pot and prevent dirt from escaping, saving you space while providing the same benefits to your plants. Mesh pads also save time when it comes to transplanting, giving you more time to go plant shopping. Best of luck!.
These mesh pads are absolutely fantastic. I'm not sure how I got by all these years without them. I water my numerous small potted succulents in the bathroom sink, which allows me to drain any excess water. The pads keep soil from draining out of the pots' drainage holes and causing havoc with my plumbing. They are far superior to the plastic discs with larger holes, which I found to be useless. They were unable to stop the soil from leaking. The best part is that these can be cut to fit my smaller 2" pots with regular scissors.
potted. They did such a good job with the tree that I decided to use them in my terracotta pots as well. They are extremely effective. They were also quite inexpensive. I have a lot of plants and won't buy any more until I have one of these. These are a "must have" if you have plants!.
Since receiving these pads, I've been using them in the bottoms of my flower pots. They're fantastic! Even the biggest hole in the bottom of the flower pot will fit. It allows water (but not soil) to drain from the pot, preventing root rot and "wet feet," which plants despise! I always place the mesh in the bottom of the hole, add a few pebbles or small river rocks, and then fill with the soil that the plant requires. I haven't lost a single plant to rot since I started using this mesh! This was a spur-of-the-moment purchase that turned out to be one of my best summer purchases! My opinion is that you get enough to last a lifetime. In the future, I will ALWAYS use these in my pots!.
These are made of a fine mesh that prevents potting mix from leaking out while also allowing for good air circulation. Much better for my cuttings' roots than my previous method of chopping up coffee filters - They stopped dirt from leaking out, but they stayed too wet, resulting in root rot. I'm wondering if these mesh pads will be available in larger sizes next spring for my deck planters?.
The item arrived on time and in good condition. br>br>Thank you to whoever came up with the idea for these!
- These small screens are durable, small, and ideal for covering a small pot hole while still allowing the pot to drain properly and keep soil in place.
- Cover the hole with soil after placing one screen over it. That's the only thing I've got to say on the subject. br>br>Bottom Line: These make life a little bit easier and are well worth the money; highly recommended.
