Although we never spent more than 60 bucks on our electric dehydrators, we did not enjoy using them because they took a long time to dry the food, the plastic trays cracked easily, and the machines themselves were not all that well made. . . though it was never more than 60 bucks. I spent about 3 bucks each and the last one took a while The failure was predicted weeks in advance. Our home is in the high desert, and we have a sun porch with a wood burning stove for I simply dried mushrooms and peppers, which dried perfectly with just a few days of soaking and a few hours on the stove. It holds about three times the amount of food compared with our Westinghouse WFD101W Dehydrator, which recently died. We really like how this is able to dry food, naturally, and keep bugs away, as well. The score for this is 5 What it does, how it does it, and what it replaces are the only reasons for its stars. Although I could easily pick apart the construction, the hook, or the zipper quality, at under 20 dollars, I don't think it's worth mentioning. Why bother when you can make money. This unit does what it says it will do, and I no longer have a unit in the kitchen that will run for weeks on end once we start pulling Once it goes outside we'll try to keep it out of direct sunlight as much as possible. This will give us a better idea of how well it holds up to the sun. It would have been nice to have discovered one of these years ago, especially in the summer, when the scenery is so dry and hot.

This size was perfect to dry herbs indoors when it was raining outside. I have a much larger version for outdoors, but it was alway too wet to wash but i wanted to dry herbs. I'm glad they have zippers instead of the larger version I have, since it keeps out bugs when it's outside. Would definitely recommend it!.

There are several herbs in the garden that I would like to use in this manner. Despite the size of the container, I still have a good bit of drying work to do before I can store everything.

I was pleased to give my mom this gift for her birthday. She is an avid gardener, but she wasn't even aware of something like this. Here in Tennessee, I gave it to her for the fall and we set it up in her sunroom. I am very glad she was pleased with her purchase, even though we won't be able to fill it up with much until next spring/summer. Although there is Mesh construction, it feels heavy and will probably hold up inside. My advice would be not to hang it outside, as weather will likely cause it to collapse in the long run.

I liked the fact that it came with gloves and sheers because it's a quality product. I used sheers a lot (although they weren't the best sheers) and I was mostly satisfied with the outcome. All three parts of the drying rack are of good quality - the drying rack itself, the velcro, and the hook included.

I was trying to make sun dried tomatoes using it. I'm not sure if I used the product incorrectly, but the tomatoes molded well before they were fully It is not worth the time or expense to purchase for people who live in humid climates. In terms of design, the product was well made and easy to handle. Shelves are in good condition.

Drying rack that is dang durable. The trimming scissors included with it are way better than the ones that came with my previous set. I had to dispose of my old ones. It is like getting three things for the price of one when you order this!.

Drying herbs could not have been easier with this. The size of the object surprised me. A tree in my yard worked best for me to hang it from. The different levels of herbs allowed me to put a wide range of herbs together. The product is awesome and I would definitely recommend it!.
