It may be something you've always needed, but didn't think to buy until now. Most of my adult life has been spent grilling on some kind of charcoal grill at home and in parks, and to my utter dismay, I am always stirring the hot coals with my tongs and then wiping them down. The tool has never been on my mental checklist of must-haves, since I have never seen it in a store. It has become a necessity for me since I purchased one! All of the steel is solidly constructed and is made in one piece. You should be able to use this tool for the rest of your life.
In Texas, the grilling season lasts all year long. A single grill is used I find it easy to follow my routine because I do it three times a week. When not handled carefully, this blunt object is very sharp and can easily cut you. When using this, be sure to wear a glove. It was my wife's gift to me to get an Akorn egg smoker. It has become easier to do over the past several months. The accessories are the focus of this hobby, like many masculine hobbies. In addition to a grill hook, a meat thermometer, a wire brush, and a cooking stone, I also picked up some supplies. As far as I was concerned, everything was in order. The Weber is a quality brand, so you would expect the same quality. To do the job, I wanted to be sure that the blade was long enough and had the right angle. It is exactly what I was looking for! As soon as I remove the center circle of the grill, I am able to reach down and It would have been nice if it had a silicone grip around the handle, but since you use it so frequently, it doesn't really matter. Though I did have to file down the edges as soon as I got it in the garage. That final polishing step that removes the sharp edges caused by the metal being stamped out doesn't seem to have been applied to this. In the end, though, I felt it comforting in my hand after filing, then lightly sanding (just the edges) with some 220. It is only one star off for that, but overall this is a great addition to any Pit Masters toolbox!.
