Perhaps only for the time being. I'd prefer something with a little more length to it. Alternatively, a longer straight piece of rebar hammered into the ground could be used to secure the pallet to the rebar using C-shaped pipe hangers.

That's what I believe. They were used to secure the bottom of a chain link fence that my 70-pound dog was trying to get through. Someone used them to secure a swing set for their children, as well.

I was at a loss for ideas on how to secure our metal swing set without having to pour concrete into our lawn. When my granddaughter was a baby, the set came with incredibly flimsy, practically useless metal hooks that barely held the thing down. She's a whopping 40 2 pounds now. When we swung her as a 5-year-old, the entire swing set rose from the ground! To keep her safe, two of us had to place our entire weight on the ground. Then I came across these stakes! We hammered in two per leg, and they are PERFECTLY secure. We can now swing her without fear of her flying all over the lawn! The stakes are sturdy and capable of withstanding a lot of pressure. The cost is extremely reasonable. This is a fantastic purchase!.
My home is where I board dogs. My yard is fenced (chain link) and very large. The chain link is not parallel to the ground in several places. One of my visitors showed me how to get out of the fence by pushing underneath it without digging. (She did not attempt to flee. ) Her problem had been brought to the attention of the owners. ) As a result, I bought these to keep the fence in place. I've since purchased more so that I can finish the entire fence line over time. br>I'm very impressed with this product; it works great! I would strongly suggest it. br>However, if your dog digs, it's a different story. At the very least, the fence will not make it easier to flee.
These are truly amazing stakes, and because I have truly amazing huge and massive quantities of gophers, these stakes should go deep enough that the hardware cloth I have to use under my plants as protection should not be dislodged. They are actually 12" from the center of the curved top so that you do get a full 12" to plant in the ground with a substantial section of the curve left to hook over something to keep them in place. Appreciate that they are galvanized and realize that there will be rust eventually, but being rebar makes them very tough and heavy enough to last a very long time. They are actually 12" from the center of the curved top so that you do get a full 12" to plant in the I can't think of anything wrong with them; they aren't cheap, but if you want quality and durability, they are well worth the investment. These stakes were used to hold a steel "garden arch" in place. They were relatively simple to install and appear to be quite durable. This is an excellent product.
Grabbed the bottom link of the fence with the J hook and hammered it into the ground. It has performed admirably!.
Stakes were needed to keep some trellises from falling over because the ground was a little difficult to get them all the way into. I didn't want the little flimsy stakes, so I came across these and decided to give them a try because they appeared to be fairly beefy and sturdy. They're beefy and sturdy, to put it that way. With a hammer, they were easily hammered into the ground and have so far held up well. The only criticism I have is that they come out of the box looking very dirty. Expect black powder to splatter all over your hands, but that's a minor inconvenience. br>br>These are the stakes I recommend if you need something a little more sturdy. They're not going to give up anytime soon, in my opinion.
If you hit them with a sledgehammer while driving through stony soil, they will bend. Out of forty, two were bent that way. However, due to the sharp end, they usually punch through and grip firmly once inside. This is an excellent product.
In terms of strength, these are fantastic. The disadvantage is that they rusted the same day I got them due to dew on the grass, staining my greenhouse where they hold the frame and where the greenhouse cover touches them. As I was installing them, they also left a horrible black residue on my hands. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't recommend it if you don't know what you're anchoring to avoid rust stains.
