Questions & Answers

Do you have any advice on how to assemble this? How are you?

You can assemble it in no time. There isn't enough strength for heavy plant material in an exposed area that is susceptible to damage from the wind. As a gate, it is wonderful next to a fence or attached to a fence at a gate, etc. I used four pieces of 24" rebar pounded into the ground attached to an arch with several Thus, it becomes stable, works well, and is not too expensive. Alternatively, you can attach the wood to two sections of 4" x "4" if you want to use it freestanding for a wedding or something. The bottom four prongs of the arch need to match the holes in each long section of wood. Just lay it flat and drill two holes in each section. A height of 6 feet 3 inches is adequate You will have a lot of fun

Could I move it at a later date if it can be taken apart?

This item can be disassembled and moved or it can be moved in an assembled state. I have planted climbing roses in my memory garden, and it looks lovely.

In what dimensions do they come?

The measurements were taken in the dark with a flashlight, so they may not be exact. They were for the outer rims. The size of this print is 875 x I will be 5". This is the It's 5" wide. The height from the ground to the highest point is the height. Approx. 1 foot from the top of the legs, I believe. A few inches of soil to a few inches of soil. Here is some information I hope will be useful to Hear Tom Gray's story.

A umbrella base can be used as an arch base?

It has spikes that press into the ground. The entire base is made up of spikes which press into the ground. When you are ready to move it out of the ground, simply pull it up. It's rare to hear of anyone who wants to be able to move a garden arch beyond pulling it out from

I found this product to be a good value for the price
4/5

It is easy to put together and is a great value for the price. To anchor it, I got four rebar pieces at Home Depot that are 1/2 in x 3 in. When the trellis was set in place, I marked the locations of the legs with tape, moved it out of the way, pounded the rebar halfway into the ground where the legs would attach, and then slid the trellis We can get high winds at times, but I believe it is sturdy enough to withstand such conditions. . . . now all we have to do is get some climbing flowers to plant next to it at the nursery.

I wouldn't call it great, but it's not terrible either
3/5

I hope I can make the most of it for a few years. I would not buy it I'm fine with it. Fortunately, this arbor is very close to replacing the old one, because the old one finally rusted to death on the legs. Gardman Charleston is not a heavyweight, so keeping it stable is not one of its strong suits. To add ground level stability to each corner, I will probably slip the 4 very short end legs over 1/2" x 24" rebar. It does not matter what the exposure is, each of these lightweight metal outdoor decor items from China will rust. The product should not be painted unless you add protection at the point where it meets the My experiment to add protective coating to garden items has been partially successful. I dip legs into liquid Flex Seal to coat. Here on Amazon, you can purchase small square plastic end caps and heat shrink tubes in a variety of sizes. There are various methods you can use to extend the life of metal outdoor decor that is not rust-proof. * My biggest complaint with this little arbor is that it comes with six long black bolts that connect the three upper metal slats to the top arch. In this case, a bolt no longer than 1 1/4" long is needed so the bolt sits somewhat flush with the arch, regardless of whether it's used with the nut up or down. The bolts included, however, are 1 1/2" long, and can be seen sticking up or down too far. A grand groan To make them the correct length, use the hacksaw or Dremel to cut all six down to the proper length. been about 1* to include little black plastic caps to keep dirt and moisture from accumulating where the bolted nut meets the arbor side. (Those can also be found here on Amazon, by the way. 4) Appearance of the finished product is also improved. For the most part, Gardman/China didn't do anything as little as possible in order to maximize the price of the arbor. If they don't make it more sturdy, with longer and better protected legs, and more finished with bolts and cover caps of the right size, then it won't be $75.

Pole bean arch that is good
4/5

An arch like this is reasonably priced for what it offers. The plant has been in the garden for one season, so I am not able to comment on its longevity or how well it will hold up during the There is enough strength in the chair, but it is not too heavy to be difficult to Despite my lack of upper arm strength, I managed to put it up and take it down with my own two hands. In a raised bed with my arch elevated 2ft off the ground due to a shoulder injury, I performed the task. The process of taking it down was a bit more difficult than the process of Over the course of the year, the arch may have become misaligned, making separating the two side pieces difficult. Or my shoulders may not have been able to rotate to separate the two pieces. During the spring, I will update this review, once the arch is back up, and let you know whether it is This arch served as a barrier between two of my raised garden beds so that I could grow pole beans there. Using four 4ft high steel garden stakes, I anchor the arch to the soil in the beds because the soil is loose and I did not want to risk it tumbling over. The stakes went up and down the four posts at the bottom and I sank the whole thing into the ground. On top of the soil was a horizontal bar that runs along each of the sides of the arch. A direct placement of this arch into the ground is likely to be sufficient since the existing posts at the base are likely to be adequate. The soil in your yard might be loose, you plan to leave the arch standing for a long time, or you have children that might climb or run into it. If you have any of these issues, you should anchor the arch.

A narrow walkway is perfect for this product
5/5

As a Mother's Day gift, my husband bought this arch for me. In the entrance of the narrow pathway between the back of the house and the privacy fence, I wanted an arch to be placed. thank you! Its just what I was looking for. I wanted something long enough for my husband who is 6'6" to pass under without ducking, but narrow enough that it could fit between my Even though I'm 44 years old, I managed to assemble and anchor the arch with no problem. I will not need to follow instructions to assemble it since it is very light. A total of six screws and washers are located at the top of the piece. It consists of inserting large pieces into each other to compose the rest of the arch. There will be a need to anchor this arbor due to its light weight and tall height. My posts have hollow cores, and I anchored them into the ground with 1/2" x 2' rebar. There is a wide variety of rebar available. This can be purchased from any hardware store for a very low cost. Just drive the rebar (steel bars) about a foot into the ground Placing each leg over the remaining foot of rebar above ground is the next step. An archway of climbing roses flanks it on each side. A pinky and a new dawn are planted one side of the field, and an iceberg on the other. You could top this arch with roses if you want it to be topped with a very tall climber. It's unlikely that the 8'-0" will make any difference Climbers of 10' height would give adequate coverage to the risers of this arch, but at worst this is only spotty. This was an excellent value.

However, it does not look good
3/5

It was easy to put together. I think it's very attractive. The stability and sturdiness are fine if it is placed near a structure (e. g. beside a building) to deter movement by wind (especially when covered in foliage) In an open field, for example, I would not place it once it is covered with a vine. Although it moves more than I would like, it could be tethered in order to help with this. Until I finally could adopt tethering, the biggest complaint was the lack of internet access. It has been two months since I purchased it and the screws on top are already rusting! This thing isn't likely to live inside so I still don't understand why it is not resistant to rust beyond a month or two. The component in question disappointed me greatly. In most cases, this would be most appropriate for an event lasting for only a few days. Next, take it apart, store it in the garage, and take it out again when it's time for another. Repetition is key.

This is a very gracious speech
5/5

Despite being 70 years old, the 70-year-old woman who installed it did it in a short period of time. As we wait for the trumpet vine to grow over the top, I am very satisfied with how stable it has been. As it was too late in the season when I ordered it, it couldn't be used. As originally planned, I planned to use something more complex, but I would need help installing it. Instead of trying to get the help I didn't want to deal with the hassle of trying to obtain the help and being disappointed in the outcome. It still looks good after a while, but I don't know how long it will last.
