That is an excellent query. This arbor was recently purchased by my wife. It was not difficult to put together. There are no signs of any issues (symmetry or otherwise). The installation took place in our front yard, and it was done in a non-hazardous manner. This arbor was a replacement for one we removed, so I'm not sure if there would be any issues in a normal situation. The one we took out had more durable footing components. the components that are buried As a result, we've decided to re-examine the situation. we reused the footings from our previous arbor; They're a perfect fit for this. So we used this arbor for the actual installation, but we reused our old arbor's footing parts. My wife had to dig new holes, and then it took at least six tries to get the arbor into the ground; maybe 8. She placed the arbor in the ground but did not pack it in, and I held it steady while she walked back about 15 feet to inspect it and determine whether it was straight, and then we moved it an inch or two and repeated until she was satisfied. It took 30 minutes to accomplish this. We took 40 minutes to get it, but in the end, we were successful. It's been about a month and everything appears to be in order; I hope this information is useful. Oshkosh, Wisconsin resident Bryan Lilly
It comes with metal angles to hammer into the ground, but concrete would be a more long-lasting option.

If it were made symmetrically, this would be fantastic. The top beam holes are incorrectly positioned, causing it to protrude 3 inches on one side and 7 1/2 inches on the other. This appears to be a known defect that has been reported on other selling sites, as I discovered after putting it together and realizing something wasn't quite right.
We bought this arbor to go along the grassed, slightly sloping path that connects our front and side yards. On this surface, the arbor is a little shaky (it recently collapsed after about 20 minutes of strong winds). If I wanted to keep it in our yard, I'd have to stake each corner to keep it stable and safe. We were also disappointed, as other reviewers had mentioned, that the top beams were not symmetrical, which detracts from the overall aesthetic appeal. This arbor will likely work for you if you're looking for a reasonably priced arbor that will be placed on completely flat ground (it's especially good for temporary uses like weddings or photography because it's light and easy to move). I would look for a different product if you want a permanent arbor.
The furniture is of excellent quality and is relatively simple to put together. I took my son with me. I'm thinking of 1. From beginning to end, it takes 5 hours. The horizontal end caps kept sliding off, so I couldn't give it five stars. We had to bind them together with twine until they dried.
This was easy to assemble and very attractive. Using the included stakes, it appears to be stable enough.
I adore it; it was so simple to put together and now it looks fantastic in my front yard; the birds, too, adore it; it even has a bird bath inside.
It was a success.
Very well done.
