Questions & Answers
If you need a higher or wider guard, you can easily combine several guards.
A tree can be protected by multiple protectors if they are tied together. The protection provided by 2 of these protectors would extend up to 7 feet from a tree trunk. The radius of the circle is five inches. In theory, on a tree trunk of up to 11" in diameter, three of these protectors could prevent it from breaking.
It is likely that this type of protector would be helpful. Several rabbits live in my yard, and they haven't been able to nibble off the leaves of a young redbud shrub I planted. The tree, which could die, cannot be accessed by them because the trunk cannot be reached.
I would think that the protector would work, as it provides protection between deer rubbing on the trunk and the holes filter out 70 percent of the sun.

Their slides just have to be slid Using these to protect yourself from deer may seem like a great idea, but the reality is that they are useless. does not climb this they just slide it up the tree, then rub it against the bark. The trees I planted with these on were rubbed by deer and slid up, but I can't use these because the deer glided up the trees I planted with these on. The trees are most likely to die because a lot of bark has been removed. Likewise, I found these to be flimsier than others I have purchased. In either case, these objects need to be anchored to the ground or, at the very least, the tree needs to have a lot of wide branches near the bottom so that when this is pushed up, the branches prevent the thing from sliding. Depending on whether they are used for rabbits or to protect weed eaters, I suppose they might work just fine. Of course, if rabbits learn to push them up, it won't.
isn't even made to be used on As far as I can tell, they cut the cheap, thin, plastic garden fence into 8 inch strips and sold them to me as tree protection. I wish I hadn't paid that much. For less than thirty bucks, you can get a whole roll of that stuff. There are very few products that are this thick or.
I will not re-run, but I will not re-run There is no need to order it as it is inferior.
As its name implies, this "trunk protector" is nothing more than a thin strip The mesh is made of hard plastic. According to my calculations, it would be about one eighth of an inch There's no rigidity or cylindrical shape to it. There is no way this could protect against a deer or a In addition, since it isn't rigid enough to hold itself in place, you have to tie it tightly around the trunk for it to adhere. A person can't tie the "protector" around a tree easily with the twist ties because they are too short. In the instructions, you're supposed to use eight ties per protector, so you might need about 15 minutes per tree for installation. The semi-hard mesh I found here is not what I wanted. I wanted a rigid plastic barrier, and this is not what I needed at all. It is not inaccurate in any way that I can tell from reading the product description. Unfortunately, it simply isn't practical for my purposes and is therefore useless to me.
In response to reports from others that deer would lift this off the ground, I secured the bottom of the feeder to the Deer can be seen every day in our area. I have so far noticed that it works. An image of this item around a maple tree is shown in the first picture. Despite giving it five stars, I didn't give it five stars due to.
There is a slight difference in weight between this plastic and what I was expecting. Unless they were new saplings less than 7 feet tall, most of the trees I needed to zip tie together.
I found these Mesh Tree Bark Protectors to be the perfect solution to protect my new, young maple trees! A recent purchase of young maple trees prompted me to purchase five of them. I found these guards to be fairly easy to work with, and they were perfectly safe around the trees when secured with zip ties. appreciate the fact that they will protect my trees from deer rubbing their antlers against them, which can cause the trees to die. Additionally, these trunk protectors are airy enough that the trunks won't get damaged during the summer. It was very quick of Voglund Nursery to deliver these in time for the cold weather to set in. When I buy more young trees in the future, I will purchase more of these!.
I was not prepared for these to be as sturdy as they are. Putting it on after the tree is in the ground is very difficult, so after struggling with my first tree, I began to put the protectors on the trees before planting them. So I was able to lay the tree horizontally so I could do it much faster. As one of the trees is short and has branches lower on the trunk, I turned the protector so it would be shorter and wider while being longer. I'm satisfied with how it has turned out thus far.
