Would this prevent my Japanese Maple from getting scorched in hot weather (105 degrees or greater) ?

A lot of information about heat is missing from the product, mostly wind and cold protection. I don't know as to whether this fabric will help an elm tree that is less than two feet tall since it will shade it and trap moisture from the ground, but if your tree is more than two feet tall, this fabric will help cause it to stay shaded.

Most useful to me is the wide selection of sizes in which I could get this product as well as Buying one package would cover all of my front flower beds. To make the fabric half, I just had to cut it a) The fabric held up very well except for a small tear where a stake was pushed through too close to the edge. As a result of the fabric, I was able to enjoy my late blooming flowers for a few additional weeks so I didn't have to worry about the frost. Although this was able to reach out and fend off the days long sub-freeze The temperature dropped to zero when the sun didn't shine. My plan is to use the fabric again next season after folding it up. My recommendation would be to use this product when you need wind protection for your plants as well as frost protection.

In my case, I opened one of the packages since I got two This will cover a distance of 50 feet, so a lot of seams are well stitched. It would be a massive row of Cape Honey Suckles that would eventually reach 20 feet tall. Because it has cooled down here in the Southwest USA, they have been blooming like crazy, and they are tall as well. They are a favourite of the hummingbirds. Six cards are in my hands The Hummingbirds are here, and there are eight of them Nestled in a 116 foot Aleppo Pine that I planted 45 years ago, they live in a small cavity. For next winter I'll have to construct a taller structure, because it does get quite cold in Arizona, like last year it dropped to 16 degrees for more than 14 hours Over the course of 11 days, it did so. If you'd like, I can give you more feedback once I have it installed.

The freeze has been stopped

A Meyer's lemon tree I had freeze burn on this winter was covered with it. In spite of the grackles, I had a 6'x7'x5' box made with netting to keep them out. It fit pretty well with a lot of extra room This part of the tree has been on for a couple of months, and it seems to do fine. Sunny days are allowed in, and water is also allowed There are several seasons left in it. I have updated In the wake of Austin's winter storm, during which we didn't reach above freezing for 7 consecutive days, and the temperature the next 3 days was 9 and 7, the lemon tree That's too bad.

Make the most of the growing season by getting a head start

As pointed out in Using the 5 oz fabric as a protection against frost helped keep my tomatoes happy and healthy outside a month before the last frost date. Wind and rain don't seem to bother it much since I live in Zone 8b in Southwest Washington. While some moisture is able to penetrate the material when it rains, I still need to water the plants below. On hot spring days, it has also served as a shade cloth for young lettuce and peas.
